Thanks for the laugh.
I went out to my workbench and pulled down a dusk mask I use when mowing or sanding wood. Harbor Freight N95 on the label. I was shocked.

Ridiculous, maybe. Useless, no. If he had to go out and it made him feel safer than having no protection at all, it served a purpose.

Just because something makes one feel safer doesn't mean they are safer. That "mask" offers little to no protection from an airborne pathogen. No doubt it actually made it more difficult to breath without offering any filtration at all.
I will admit, it is humorous.
