To tell you the truth, I am happy with all of them, but that one is really neat.
Went out to the airport on Saturday for more pictures of the planes in attendance for this annual event. #1 was found as a basket case in a barn. Took 9 years to restore it to flying status. Only $225.00 to take a 30 minute ride in a Stearman, and $295.00 to go upside down. A little steep for my pocketbook!
Here's a couple more from today. #1 was found as a basket case in a barn, and it took 9 years to restore it to flying condition. When I got home and started reviewing them on the 'puter I was amazed to realize I had over 100 shots to go through!
A few shots of Stearman planes flying over the Labor Day Parade.
To all that responded, thanks for your intelligent advice. Thomas902 asked if this is the result of the trip that we were supposed to take this summer, and the answer is no as we had to cancel as the wife is no longer able to travel. As of today I have no problem handling the camera, just trying to think ahead for when that day comes. For the time being I will stick with what I have, and know. When and if the day comes, I will cross that bridge based upon my situation at the time. Again thanks to all. Elmo
I have a D750 that the shutter count is approaching the 150,000 mark. Additionally, I am getting up there in age where the question I have to ask myself, is "just how much longer am I going to be able to handle the camera/lens weight". Another factor is that I am no longer able to take my annual travel/landscape photo adventures, and now I am only taking family/pet/local event photos. So my question to you is "would you refurbish the camera to ensure no problems for the remainder of your ownership, and to also hopefully make the camera more valuable/desirable to its next owner?"
The last time I visited that area (last year), I was traveling in my RV, and the closest we could get was a 100 miles just to get to the Tetons. My personal recommendation for photographing the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is from the South observation area. Not that the North area is bad. Good luck, and enjoy.
For you "young" whipper snappers, you know you are getting old when 2 of your great grand kids are approaching that point in time!
Where has the time gone?
Here's one that I forgot from Mount Desert Island (AKA Acadia NP).
Here's a couple from Acadia NP.
OK you asked for it. #1 is a quilt top that hasn't been finished yet (have 2 more waiting). #2 is one that I did for our RV. #3 is my quilt on our bed. #4 is a word search that I did for a great grand son, all letters were machine embroidered.
Here's my contribution to "My Hobby". This is one of the first quilts that I did for my wife. To date she has at least 7 or 8 (lost count) king sized quilts, at least a dozen lap quilts, one for each of the 4 kids, 8 grand kids, 13 great grand kids, and several for other family members plus doubles for a few individuals.
From Acadia National Park. First bridge built on the carriage trails for use by horses, and carriages. Designed and paid for by John D Rockefeller Jr.

And the "hits" (tested and tried experience) just keep coming! Again thanks for the input. Your input is treasured, and saves me and my kind (novices) the hassle of finding out these things the hard and/or expensive way.
