I'm 76 and I carry my 100 - 400 on either a tripod or a mono-pod with camera body attached. I have one tripod that I put plumbing pipe insulation on the upper leg sections. Just split them length wise, wrap them around the 3 legs upper section, then cover with camouflage duct tape. It's a lot easier on the shoulder. You can do the same with a mono-pod's upper section. Hope this helps. If the camera, lens and tripod is too heavy, only attach the lens, and carry the body in a bag or around the neck with a more versatile lens attached, whichever is easier for her.

Did you put a screen protector over your lenses? If so it might be something that got in during the installation. There appears to be a lot of debris around all the lenses. Wish you would have attached some images taken with the phone camera 10X zoom, which I believe that lens is. I have the same phone and have been greatly impressed with both the Ultra-wide and 10X zoom. Good luck, but I would check to see if it is something that can be removed before sending it in.

I like Portrait 3, Creative 3 & Historic Buildings 2. A lot of great images, but those are the ones that grabbed my attention the most. Good luck in the show!

I have a one to share: first black and white image then the duotone effect.

Reading the description of what duo-tone is I must say; I was confused as to what it was. But after viewing your example I get it, it's really cool and makes me want to try it. Super job. Thanks for sharing.

God bless you and soften your suffering until the two of you meet again. As someone who married his high school dream girl and is still married to her 56 years later; I can't imagine the loss. It looks by the pictures that you had
many wonderful years also. Never enough though when you lose a part of your soul.

An addendum to my reply, wasn't there another humorous tombstone, something like (and I'm paraphrasing here) "Here lies Charlie, recently dead, smoked too close to the dynamite shed"?

My Dad and Mom lived in Apache Junction for several years which afforded my family the opportunity to visit. My Dad was a real western history buff; he read every Louis L'Amour book and passed that love along to me. So your pictorial was very nostalgic to me. Good work.

A hummer's diet consists mostly of insects. Spider webs trap small insects and are easy picking for hummingbirds. In the process of robbing a spider's cache they often contaminate themselves in the process.

It makes extra work for me when I capture a good specimen that is dirty. This one was still clean.

The image shows the bird at work. Their flight is so erratic when they are insect hunting it is nearly impossible to keep up. Occasionally I get lucky.

Thought I knew a lot about hummers, but did not know they robbed spider webs of captured insects. Interesting and an amazing shot.

How do I import photos from my iphone to my PC, preferably into Lightroom?

I send many photos from my phone to my PC using Bluetooth. Access Bluetooth from the settings menu, pair your phone, if you haven't already, then select your phone from the menu and click on receive files. This works fine if you're just sending a few files. If you're transferring an entire memory card you'll want to get a card reader or use the USB cord that came with your camera.
