I recently upgraded the firmware on my D7000 without any problems. It is straighforward and easy, just follow the instructions provided and as others have indicated make sure you have a full charge. Once started (from your SD card in the camera) it needs to complete before the camera is turned off.
forbescat - There is a good population of sheep down along the Snake River just up from Clarkston WA and more along Lick Creek about 15 miles past Asotin. We see sheep there almost every trip we take and its closer than Wenatchee. Now is the time to go, the big Rams are down low and fighting.
I just purchased the Nikon D7000 and use PSE9. I have had no problems with editing RAW files from the Nikon.
Been haveing trouble uploading photos in ie9, so this is just a test to see if it now works. Always looking for input if you have any comments of the photo.
I've done film photography as a hobby in the past but have only had point and shoot digital cameras until now. Finally broke down and purchased a digital SLR, a Nikon D7000, and am getting back into it. I mostly interested in nature photography but get roped into doing family pics including the odd wedding. Hope to learn a lot here.
