just because a person uses all caps does not really mean they are yelling at you. sometimes it's just a personal preference, sometimes they really aren't skilled at typing and only use two fingers to peck and paw there letters. maybe it's they learned to navigate with a mouse and auto correct mostly fixes everything. i understand they are going to stop teaching cursive. will that mean that we will no longer have a signature? i am using no caps, cause i don't want to incur your wrath. i am not trying to yell at you. just trying to splain it best i can. i only hope none of this has a negative consequence on my photography. anyway, enjoy the day. try to stay calm.

The OP certainly has a point. It is true that many software companies seem to be on a yearly schedule of releasing the best-ever latest-and-greatest version of their software, at a cost to existing users. And sadly, the improvements are often only incremental and hardly worth paying for.

Then there are other companies who do not charge for bug fixes or incremental improvements, and those are worth considering. An example is Serif who produce Affinity products, including Affinity Photo.

Affinity Photo was first released in July, 2015 as version 1.3.1. Since then, Serif has released 24 update versions, all at no charge. The current version of Affinity Photo is 1.9.3. I fully expect to have to pay for version 2.X whenever it is released, but the company will have certainly earned it. Pity other companies don't follow their example of service to their customers.

If you post an image of something we should be able to read the details / text, but you don't store the file, do you think that reflects well on you?

Just a little food for thought

Looking completely dispassionately which is better photographically – for image quality?

First the significant differences (Comparing APS-C and full frame only):

DSLR bodies are bigger and heavier than mirrorless bodies.
DSLRs take many more photos per battery charge than mirrorless
DSLRs have mirrors :)
Mirrorless don’t have mirrors :) :)
Mmmm – can’t think of any other significant differences.

Second important similarities:

Both have sensors
Both have viewfinders
Both have LCDs
Both have lenses
Mmmm – can’t think of any other important similarities.

So how does any of this make a mirrorless better than a DSLR?? Well IMHO it doesn’t, it can’t and it won’t as far as image quality of photographs is concerned. Excluding the photographers skill levels and the many personal preferences involved, the image quality of a photograph is directly proportional to the quality of the lens and the sensor.
Mirrorless do not have better sensors than DSLRs. Mirrorless do not have better lenses than DSLRs. So photographs from mirrrorless cannot have better image quality than those from DSLRs.
