That's what I did at my wedding
I found the battery grip helpful traveling through Europe, using the sleeve for AA batteries I did not have to hassle with plug adapters
Some good points. I always liked the 85mm for candids, portraits and just pulling faces out of a group. A hard choice Good luck
Darn, I could have given you one
I know, I gave my 70-200 L 2.8 II to my son and opted for less weight. Take care and have a great trip.
God bless you. I love the 16-35, sharp and superb color. I would also suggest the 75-300L, lighter and great focal length. Above all be safe and enjoy.
I have owned th5 5D MKII, III & IV, all great cameras. But for sports and action go with the 70D MKII, easier to use, great fps and you get the 1.6 lens factor..
Back packs are great unless you have spinal stenosis, stick with Domke with shoulder strap. You will not fall backward or forward from weight!
I still use Domke bags with postman's shoulder attachment. I believe this was suggested already.
Great reply from rmorrison1116!
I think your remarks are inaccurate. Grey market goods are the same product without US warranty, and marketing costs. US distributors are full of.... The old rule of thumb was that only one of eight eitther US market or gray market had problems. I sold so many camera's retail!
I do not know the current interpretation of "Gray Market" is today. In the sixties, when I worked in a Camera Store in NYC, gray market aka parallel imports referred to exact same camera without US warranty, but carried an International warranty that was honored by US companies. I know things have changed now.
You are paying extra $ for Marketing in US
Some good answers, depending on what areas, I would stick to good wide zoom and short telephoto zoom. Whoever mentioned to pack light is soo correct. On my many trips to Crimea I stuck with my 24-70 2.8, 99% of the time. Happy trails.
Drink bottled water or beer overseas, been there done that.
