Good one, Voss.

Nice picture!

Is 90 days the length if time it takes for the bank to repossess that yacht you bought on credit and missed the first two payments?

Fantastic! Where was your viewpoint? Looks like you were atop one of the buttes in the park, or using a drone.

These were in a field about a quarter mile from my house. The light blue bluebonnets are getting more and more common. Bonus skipper on the last flower.

Nice shots!

When the light blue “blues” take over, can we still call them bluebonnets?

Several images of this trim young lady have been posted and here is yet another. What I found interesting about this one is that from scanner to this posting only a minor bit of cropping was used; no other dinking.

And she is a cutie, Jim!

The morning after my evening photographic outing in the front garden, I decided to explore what the early morning light did. The early sun lit up the daffys. Unfortunately, our garden's position in the front of the house, screened the tulips from direct sun.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Good work on those low key flower portraits, Mike.

our local Chinese place charges $5 for a fried egg, if added to noodles.......... a plate of Singapore noodles is $26............. we do not eat there.

Don’t blame you for that. In a small U.S. town where a burger meal at DQ or McDonalds is pushing $16, the tastiest and healthiest meal is at our Taste of China restaurant. You get a nice size serving of cashew chicken and rice for about $12.

Looks like the negative scanned very well despite its contrasty look.

It seems that our universe is expanding faster than the speed of light, and that imposes several restrictions on us. If we were able to travel a certain distance from earth, we would never be able to return because of the rapid expansion. Also, distant light will never reach us because it is moving away from us too fast.

When the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy collide in millions of years, not one of the billions of stars will collide with another. A spaceship traveling at the speed of light could travel indefinitely in a straight line and not crash into anything. These are two results of the universe being incomprehensively large.

Unrelated, but interesting:
When you shuffle a deck of cards, you will get a result that has never been gotten before.
There are more trees on earth than stars in the universe.

I’m sure I don’t believe the statement about the number of trees outnumbering the stars in the universe. We don’t know how many stars there are in the universe so the statement is someone’s opinion. I do believe that there are most likely more stars in the universe than there are square inches of land on Earth, the minimum amount of area assumed to be needed to seed a tree.

I have tried the various “painting” filters in Photoshop Elements, the only Adobe product I have, and I’m not really impressed with the results I get in that they don’t really do a good imitation of the particular media it’s supposed to look like. That may be the fault of the user (me), however, in how I use the sliders.
