These were in a field about a quarter mile from my house. The light blue bluebonnets are getting more and more common. Bonus skipper on the last flower.

When the light blue “blues” take over, can we still call them bluebonnets?

Stan, that's a good question. We actually have wild pink ones, white ones, and a new one developed by the Texas A & M staff that is a deep maroon for the Aggie colors.
