Here is one for you.....my son goes to Colombia University. Last year He took us for a tour of the campus including the library, they still use this card system for several areas. Couldn’t help but ask him where all the tuition goes 🙂

my parents hat 3 weapons. in the house my mother used a wooden yardstick, seems like she had one in every room. in the yard my father used a work boot that was still on his foot. On the farm my father made us go down to the river and cut down a switch for him to use. Those weapons taught my brothers and I a lot of good lessons :)

You could always wrap the camera in foam, put it in the saddle bag, then put the Harley in the back of an F150. But I’m not a biker so I’m a little out of the loop. 🤪

Unless you live in Utah. Snow here is code code word for “jump in your suv, lock in the 4x4, and put the pedal to the metal”. Makes for an interesting drive to work. 😃

I usually check with my local camera dealer ...where I live ..I can go down with my camera body ..mount the lens .., try out in the store ..decide which lens and away I go ... easy return and drop off ..

I do the same thing. I feel fortunate to be able to try before I rent. Also if down the road I decide to buy a lens from them whatever I have spent renting it they will take that off the price of a new one.

It can also neutralize some other meds such as heart medication and turn them into nothing more than placebos. So be careful mixing it. Also no one really knows about long term side effects. I know several people that have tried it but it didn’t work for them. There are a lot of things on the net, but be very wary of articles that claim it is a cure all.

The North Rim of the Grand Canyon will be closed when you come. Opens the middle of May. The wave is a reservation only venture and you can reserve on line. The problems are someone buys up all of the permits on a regular basis not allowing anyone else to get any. You might luck out though. Zion will be nice that time of year and always affords good photo opportunities. Bryce Canyon will likely be snowed in but may be doable.

Just a quick question. How does someone buy up the permits for the Wave, its all done on a random drawing. They give a few walk in permits also on a random drawing for those that are there, even for the walk in permits there are enough people to make drawing out rather slim. I have been putting in for the wave every year for about 9 years and have not drawn out.

How long do you plan on spending there? And are you looking for drive to spots or day hiking, shorter hikes? Almost anywhere can be a dive to place. Shorter easier hikes would be something like spooky slot. Or you can day trip some of gulch and peekaboo they are very close together. Look up Utahtrails.com and you will find a ton of info for these. Have fun and don’t forget to check the weather.

We have been there several times for 3 day trips. Not sure if you are in a tent, trailer or need a room. We have been on the east side every time and stayed at the smaller St. Mary’s campground just as you start up the going to the sun road, it’s our favorite spot. Driving distance to both Two Medicine and Many Glacier. Do one each day and there’s your three days. Just remember you can’t do everything so when you are done you will want to start thinking about your next trip😀. It’s a great place. Also Many Glacier does not allow tents or soft sided trailers, but that time of year there should be decent parking. A ton of easy trails so do some research and plan them before you go. Enjoy, it’s one of our favorites.

One more thing, the smaller St Mary campground does not take reservations, first come basis. We stay the night before at the Koa just outside the entrance, then we will go in early and there will usually be several sites open up. Everything usually fills up by 9 - 10 am.

The 24 should be wide enough for most shots. But if not wide enough for some shots, use tdekany's advice. Either results will make you happy. The only other advice would be to take your eye away from the camera, let the camera hang from your neck, and just soak in the whole visual experience in front of you.

IMHO, RRS makes the ABSOLUTE BEST gear on this planet. Perfect, well made, well engineered, well thought, influenced by what photographers, of all types, need. But once and done. How they are to work for, from what I have seen from my phone calls, I'd work for them in a New York Second. Please let us know how it goes if you do get a job there. AFAIK, they are completely moved to their new facility. Best of luck.

Thanks, yes they have moved, but I guess they still have a couple things to button up. Right now my commute is about 40 miles each way, this would only be 5 miles so I am hoping for the best :)

Seems to be good overall.
Where are they moving from?

The moved from CA, they said they couldn't handle being taxed and regulated to death so they moved out. Seems like a lot of companies are moving out of CA, Texas is really benefiting along with Utah, Idaho and some others.

Just curious, anyone on here use Really Right Stuff photography products? They are moving their manufacturing to just a few miles from me and I am looking at applying for a job they have that perfectly fits my skills.
