Reading this was very hard for me, 18 yrs ago last month my 1st wife went to a hospital in KCMO with the same type symptoms. She never came home.

Prayers for her, you and your family.

Self-reliance is a contribution. Do your own research make up your own mind.

Research is nothing more than other peoples opinions and experiances.
ie. DP Review is nothing more than their opinion, other review sites have slightly different views on the same equipment.
So asking others on a forum such as this is just an other way of research.

I don’t own any guns. I don’t go hunting. I have two knives. One in my tool box and one I carry. I have a few watches that were given to me as gifts. Remember I can wear two but prefer just one. As for sport cars, I don’t want them because I am happy with my soccer dad’s minivan. Every 25,000 miles I have to change the hamster. As for fishing poles, I have one.

My minivan has a Hemi, so i have 3 hamsters and a Spider monkey.

I like your answer. Some of the answers on this forum are intimidating and downright rude. There are those of us with little knowledge or experience in photography. I learn a lot just by reading all of the daily comments but am leery of asking a question that could get me a few "cutting" responses.

Please do not tell me to put my big boy pants on and take it like a man. There is no excuse for being rude on a forum that is set up to assist us in our hobby.

JUST SAYIN'

True, but aren't the opinions of others who may have experience with this equipment part of research? Sometimes other opinions will cause you to consider things you haven't thought of yourself

So right. It seems people are afraid to do their own evaluations/research. There is a need to have a handheld.

There is nothing wrong with asking others opinions and experiance as part of research before buying.
If you can't contribute to the OP's question then don't say anything just pass on to the next topic.

Something similar happened to me, sorta similar anyway.
About 6 yrs ago i got an angry message from someone on facebook asking why i had not sent them the lens i sold them. I had no idea what they where talking about, so after a lot of investigation my wife and i found our facebook account AND our paypal accounts had been hacked and someone had sold a canon lens to about 15 different people. Our paypal account showed over $11,000.00 in transactions over just 3 days. We of course reported it to both facebook and paypal (all the money had been drawn out within minutes of each transaction.) They both found in our favor. We closed those accounts.
5 yrs later i was attacked on facebook claiming i had ripped them off a few yrs ago and they wanted there money back. After explaining it all to him he did not believe it, (not sure i would have either). Anyway he wound up being the guy that started it all yrs earlier. After much investigation by paypal facebook and the local Portland police, this guy was tracked down, we where informed just last month he had been found and arrested. From what we where told he had over a dozen other scams he stole over $75,000. And he was broke again so he was going back through facebook finding the people that he had hacked trying to strongarm them into paying him.
Crazy a** people out there.

Out of those i use the 28-70, the 150-600 and 70-200 the most. Havent used the 18-240 in a few years, and only used the 18-400 twice (wife uses it daily)

don't need them all. Just wanted them all. And want a couple more, don't know exactly why

I have a 3051 (legs - no head) that I would be willing to sell for $150 + shipping. I used it with my 600mm 4.0 which I sold last year due to a pinched nerve and the weight of the tripod.

I have pictures that I can send you

I live in Eugene, OR.

Why can you not get out in nature? Away from people is safe as it gets.

I live in Colorado, last april they closed down all the national and state parks.
They are open now, but with restrictions. And the 3 or 4 of my favorite places require a bit of hiking to get to, this is a problem because of the time restraint. Takes me over an hour of driving and an hour of hiking. Then the same or more out.
2021 will be better.

My first drone was a super cheap one from amazon cost only $80.00. Good thing because i lost it on the 1st outing. Bought another one, with 30 minutes of extra careful practise, i had it down and was comfortable enough to fly it much higher and further away from me. It does not have many or maybe any of the cool features of the Mavic line of drones but i didnt want to lose several hundred $'s to just try one out.
Now I may go ahead and get the Mavic. They are really fun.
But i would suggest getting a cheapo first to see if it is something you would like to explore further.
Enjoy, it kinda brings the kid out in ya.
