A few pictures I took this past weekend. The panoramic view was 4 pictures.
Taken with my Canon EOS R5 and the 24-105 kit lens.
Photos were processed in Affinity.
OK, I got rid of the stick in Affinity.
Better yet, just re-take the picture without the stick!!
Google focus stacking of Focus merge. There are some good youtube videos on it.
One technique is to set your camera on auto drive. Focus on a nearby point. Start taking pictures and slowly move the camera forward toward the subject. You will end up with a series of pictures that are focused on points further and further out.
Then process them with your software.
Focus Merge, or Focus stacking is a process where you take a series of pictures of a subject. The first picture is focused on a nearby point. The second is focused on a point a little further out. The third a little further out, etc., until you take a picture of the furthermost point. The series of pictures are then loaded into software, like Affinity, Photoshop, etc., that can merge the photos together to produce one picture that has the best focus throughout the desired depth of the picture.
The pictures can be taken automatically if the camera has that capability or be done manually.
This is my first real attempt with focus merge using my Canon R5. I'm amazed at the results!!! Hand held with the 24-105 kit lens. 1/60 sec @ F10, ISO 1000. Yes, I know the stick is in the background. Oh well, next time.
I could not resist this shot of the sunflower. Just trying out the camera on the hollyhock. I used the Canon EOS R5, 24-105 kit lens and a JJC 11mm extension. Hand held.
I love how you have handled the contrast in the sky and ground.
Great photos. Thanks for showing us these. I like to see more background but your effect is great also.
Thanks all for the comments.
I love the histogram in the viewfinder on the EOS R5. It allows me to get the right exposure the first try.
I found this in my neighbor's yard
I am experimenting with my new Canon EOS R5 and 24-105 lens
Hey, Oil City!!!
I used to go up there with my father fishing. Great area.
Great collage also.
You should send your question to Car Talk

I’ve been thinking about getting affinity as well.
There’s multiple apps available. I’m not sure which one to get. I have a newer iPad Pro and would be a beginner. I’d like to have the option to “grow “ with it. Do you have any recommendations?
I don't know much about the Apps. The PC version is what I use. It keeps on getting better with each update and is MUCH cheaper than Photoshop.
