Greetings to all my old friends here.

Beautiful series. They remind me of photos by Gregory from Florida.

Annie, I appreciate your comments very, very much.

Gregory was a dear friend - we got together several times at his home in the Everglades and at my home in Pasco county. As you have noticed, our styles are very similar. To have my work compared to his is an incredible compliment. I was able to attend his memorial gathering at his favorite place in the 'Glades. He had many friends in various walks of life - I am proud to be among them.

Loooove #2&5!!

Thank you very much Karen.

I have very few shots of this courtship pose, so these are among my favorites also.

Welcome to the Hog, loved your hummingbirds. And I'm jealous - I have never seen or photographed a hummingbird!

Greetings to all my old friends here. Sorry to say that worsening arthritis in my hips has prevented me from getting out as often or walking as far as I once could.

The local rookery is one of my favorite places. It is near, doesn't require a long walk and the new life is awesome to see. The Great Egrets are one of my favorite species.

Here are some recent photos showing courtship, nesting and new families.

Hope that you enjoy these. (Please use the Download feature.)

Note, all taken with Nikon D7100 and Tamron 150-600mm zoom (G2), hand held through a chain link fence.

While I was a full time college student back in the mid to late 60's, I also worked full time as a Neuro/Psychiatric Nursing Assistant in a Veterans' Hospital on Long Island. I can't imagine why anybody would want to visit such a place - I think any sane person would want to get out as soon as possible. And never return.

You have undoubtedly heard by now, but Gregory passed. I don't know any more than that. RIP Gregory.

Yes, word reached me yesterday via telephone. I would like to attend whatever funeral services are going to be held but information has not been available. Hoping that anybody that has more info will contact me.

I was looking forward to a visit from Greg later this month.

Thank you for your message.

I don't know of any plans for a funeral. I believe he will be cremated and I think there will be a memorial around the 25. That's all I know for now. I will keep you informed as best I can.

How did you hear about Greg's death?

I have an Epson Artisan 1430 for Sublimation Printing and the paper feed keeps giving me an error message and just running blank paper thru the machine, I have tried every logical fix and no luck... any help would be greatly appreciated I have a few sublimation projects I need to get printed for the weekend.

I've had that problem with my 1400 (preceded the 1430).

The easy solution is to pass the cleaning sheet that comes with Epson paper a few times through the machine.

Jim, I had been in touch with Greg just a few days ago. Can you tell me where you found this information please. I would like to attend his funeral. A search online, so far, has turned up nothing. Please feel free to call me at the number that I posted previously.

Thank you.

The death of Greg has been reported today on this site. I have tried to locate that posting unsuccessfully. If you are the OP, PLEASE RE-POST. I would also appreciate a phone call at 727-255-3817.

I know that Greg was hospitalized for a broken hip a few days ago and have not heard anything further.

Thank you, Larry (madman)

I would suggest that you find a local camera club to join. you will learn a lot by participating in its programs and you may find others with the same or similar equipment to yours that can help with technical questions.
