It's an inkjet printer - how is it supposed to print by sublimation?

Paper load error/load error or paper out error. The paper is loaded !! I've tried 4/5 different papers and paper settings !!

Using an inkjet to print sublimination ink onto sublimination transfer paper. The ink is not the problem. Paper feed is.............

I know it's a pain but try putting in one sheet at a time. I found on my artisan 837 this works best....Rich

I have occasionally had that happen with my 1400 - I find that it resolves itself in a few uses.

Have you had any paper jams or tears that might have left something blocking the paper path?

If it doesn't fix itself, the next step would be to call Epson Tech Support - they are fantastic folks.

Several ideas.

When you load more paper do you push the paper/ trash button to reset the printer?

Have you tried unplugging the printer and wait several minutes before restarting it?

Restart will cost you some ink, but it might also end the error message.

From user guide which came with the printer

Blank Pages Print

If blank pages print unexpectedly, try these solutions:
•Make sure you selected the correct paper size settings in your printing program and printer software.
•If a blank page exists in a document you are printing and you want to skip printing it, select the Skip Blank Page setting in your printer software.
•Run a print head nozzle check to see if any of the nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary.
•Make sure your product is selected as the printer in your printing program.

Bummer,
I've not had to use their C.S. but I've heard that it's first rate. Good luck and keep us posted.

I realize that this is an old post but in the event that others have the same problem... I have had the same problem for quite some time. Cleaning has not helped and I can't see any jammed bits of paper. The single sheet at a time has been the only thing that has worked for me. Sometimes, I might put regular paper behind the sublimation paper and that works too. If anyone finds a better solution, please make a reply! Otherwise, this is a great printer for making quality sublimation prints!

I've had that problem with my 1400 (preceded the 1430).

The easy solution is to pass the cleaning sheet that comes with Epson paper a few times through the machine.
