I have a Galaxy S21 (replaced my S-III), I get my apps at https://play.google.com/store/apps.

Check with the hearing aid manufacturer. I can't imagine they won't have an app for the 'Droid, unless the aids are made by Apple.

Thanks

I’m considering converting from my iPhone 7 to a Galaxy S23 Ultra. I know it’s a big jump. I do have some questions of those who converted from any iPhone to any Galaxy: 1) can all my paid apps be moved over? I have Sibley V2 for birds and two different depth of field apps. 2) can the phone be linked to my hearing aids? This allows ringing only in my hearing aids as well as the incoming conversation silent to the outside but excellent volume to my aids. 3) where do I get new apps? I assume I can’t use Apple’s App Store

I've been up in both of these planes. It wasn't long after I was up in the B-17 ( Nine 0 Nine ) that it crashed and was totally destroyed, killing 7 people and wounding 6 others.

I have a shot of “Witchcraft” flying into the Schenectady, NY airport when I was shooting a soccer game and heard the roar of the four engines. If you would like I can post it here. Also, my cousin was a radio operator on B-17 that was shot down over Germany and he spent time in a Stalag (I think it was Stalag 2 or Stalag 4).

I don't like the new "Mark Trail." He used to be handsome.

I no longer waste my time looking at the Mark Trail strip. The art work is sub par and the story line was carful so it only took me about a week before I made the decision to no longer look at it.

I hate getting these surveys about how my online buying experience was. B&H does it all the time, and it's always several pages long. I never have complaints, but they don't give up asking me until I reply. I bought an inverter for a Dell Vostro, but I haven't gotten to it yet, and they want me to do a review. It's the same for picking up an order at Home Depot. It gets to the point where I think I might order/buy from a place that doesn't harass me with surveys. They could ask if there was a problem, or maybe just ask once. That should be enough.

Anyway, that's all for now.

A long time ago when I was on Windows, I used ExposurePlot. You put a copy of all your images into one folder and aim ExposurePlot at that folder. It will go through all the EXIF data and plot the frequency of settings. As I recall it would plot focal length, shutter speed, ISO and maybe aperture. From that you can determine what focal lengths you use most often. In my case there were peaks at short and long focal lengths and a dip in the middle so I concentrated on acquiring short and long lenses. Once I finally got a full range I didn't use ExposurePlot any more. I don't know if it's available for the Mac.

I have had arthritis develop in knees and shoulders. The left shoulder has no cartilage left so it's frequently sore. I had a shot in both shoulders. They lasted about 6 -8 weeks. Rather than get frequent shots I started taking Advil. One a day in the morning. My doctor recommended Acetaminophen instead of Ibuprofen so I tried it. It took twice as much Acetaminophen as it took Ibuprofen for the same effect so I went back to Ibuprofen. Long term use can have effects on your liver and the maximum dose is the same for each so I figured that the one that was effective at a lower dose was the one to use. Three years later I take two 200mg Advil a day, one morning and one night. Sometimes I miss the evening pill and in the morning it is obvious that it is still effective. The Advil doesn't cure the pain but makes it tolerable.

I also tried a CBD Gummie, two a day. The first day was great -- it knocked out the pain. The second day the pain was tolerable. The third day it did nothing. I went back to Advil.

I would expect that different people would have different results so you might want to experiment a bit. But let your doctor know about your results because medicines sometimes interact and (s)he might have other recommendations.

The shoulder has been a problem since I was around 60. I'm now 84 and have been taking the Advil regularly for 2 years. Before that I just lived with it.

I feel your pain. I have 4 activities that have been limited or eliminated because of pain. I no longer curl because of a hip and knee problem. After falling twice in the last season I curled (2021-2022 season when I had turned 91 in August 2021) I decided to give that up. Then I stopped playing golf when each time I swung a club the pain in my hip was excruciating (although I did drive the cart for my playing partner and would throw my ball onto the green and putt). When it came to bowling, I no longer could do a four step approach so I would walk up to near the foul line and stop then step with my left foot as I swung my arm and threw the ball. For photography I. O longer hike the trails looking for eagles and other birds and flowers and unusual trees and landscape. I sold my my Canon 5D IV and a number of lenses and bought a Canon RP and now do a little walking using a cane and take occasional neiborhood shots plus I have four great grandkids and when my daughters drive me to see them or when they come to visit My pain control is 2extra strength Tylenol with breakfast and two more at bedtime. I also get a cortisone shot about once every four months or so which alleviates my hip pain for close to three months.

All wise ones, tell me how we can have a shot for the covid virus in a short period of time and yet we do not have a shot for the common cold virus? I don't get the flu shot and I can't remember the last time I had the flu, I can't remember the last time I had a cold either. What I do if I start to get a scratchy throat is gargle with warm salt water and then maybe take a shot of whiskey or bourbon which will usually clear it up in 24 hours.

When I was a little tyke, my grandmother would mix whiskey and sugar and rub it on my gums when I was teething!

When cropping a photo, is it best to crop by ratio or crop by size (like 8 x 10)? If cropped to ratio, what is the best ratio to crop to? I have read 16X9, but I would like other suggestions. I might add, I am thinking in terms of matting and framing photos.

One of my favorite pictures was the round stone barn with late summer flowers in the foreground at Hancock Shaker Village. I took it at 2x3 ratio and cropped it to 4x5 and had prints made at 16 x 20 and 8 x 10. I gave the larger print to my daughter who had it triple matted and framed for display in her living room (her husband was brought up on a dairy farm). I then double matted the smaller print and put it in a 11x14 frame and gave it to her daughter (my oldest grandchild) who has it hanging in her dining room. I also sold a double matted and framed 8 x 10 which I had hanging along with other pictures in a local library. I also cropped the original to 16 x 9 and had it double matted and framed professionally and it is hanging in my living room. So some times different sizes work in different places.
