I hate to sound like a grinch, but you might consider starting with a question: "Would anyone want to look at this?" Sorry, but the image doesn't show me anything that I find interesting.

I can't be upset since I did ask for any and all feedback. I guess I should have been more specific in my questions and my intent for posting this picture. You're right...you personally don't find it interesting. Not everyone likes the same subjects or same types of pictures. My mom LOVES flowers and she takes pictures of them all the time and loves to show them. I don't find those shots too interesting. Some people like taking pictures of old cars or stained glass windows. There again...not interesting to me. However, this particular photo that I posted was interesting to me because there is a story behind where it came from and who gave it to us. I'm not here to argue or to stir up anything, but I do ask that you offer ways that I could make it more interesting to a broader audience and perhaps have people actually like it. I'm not a pro photographer and am not looking to make money with this, but rather taking pictures that I think are interesting and important to me. So I would challenge you to come up with a recommendation that would be helpful for me to augment your comment that it isn't interesting. We all start somewhere in life with these hobbies and my goal is to get better being behind the camera. Not just so I can hear people say, "Wow, that's a great photo," but to understand what makes it a great photo. Is it better light, better DOF, different angle, and so on. I work as a Program Manager in IT and tell my team all the time to bring me solutions and not just problems. Identifying problems are fine, but presenting a solution makes it worth my time. And hey, if you don't want to respond with a recommendation that is fine too. Like I said before...I'm not here to engage in any battle. I'm just here to learn.

Does $275 include shipping to NC?

Yes, the $275 would cover shipping to NC.

I would take twenty shots or so all from different angles and settings etc and pick the ones I like best and ask the same questions
I think it's a good start.

Good idea...probably best to take a few and then re-post with multiple options. Think I'll take the vase away as well and go through some re-do shots. Now all I need is time!

I would shoot your subject from a differend position, so you could isolate the subject better with a different background (preferably a darker one, but that's preference). It sure would make the picture more interesting!

The background here is the wall, which would make it more interesting I think if I removed the vase from behind the bird. My brother used to have solid black and solid white backdrops, which were great to use when there was time to set them up and get the subject all set. If you don't have those, what would you use for "ad hoc" backdrops?

I wonder if an adjustable polarizing filter might have eliminated those little glare points.

I've never used one before. Which would you recommend? I always like to try new things!

I find the greenish thing in the background distracting.

That's a vase and I see what you mean. If I removed it, it would just be the contrasting white background, which would probably make the bird look better

I would have included the bottom corner closest to the viewer, but I like it.

Good point. It's the lid of the box, so perhaps I should have framed the entire box as well to give it more depth? I once had a photography teacher back in high school tell us to take about 30-40 shots of the same subject to see which one makes the most sense.

I always like honest and candid feedback from people, so I thought I would throw this picture out there for comments. Hopefully, I am in the right forum. Anyway, this is a picture I took while going through my house. My wife is a big fan of the blue color. I wanted intentional contract color from where I was standing but maybe I should have taken a few different angles to compare. Anyway, all feedback welcome on the photo...even if you think it's crappy! LOL! Thanks!

I have decided to bump up to a D500 or a D750 so I am selling off my D7100 to fund my new camera. I also have my D300 listed on UHH with a MB-D10 battery grip.

I have had this camera for about 3 years and became more "click happy" with this one with family vacations, sporting activities, and so on. It still has less then 7500 clicks overall so it's still pretty "new" compared to others out there. I mainly used a 35mm or 85mm lens on here and was really happy with how the pictures turned out. Definitely did a lot better in low light situations than other bodies I have had in the past.

Comes with all the boxes, manuals, neck strap, charger, battery, etc. Asking $550 shipped. PM or reply to the post with any questions you may have.

GREAT photos! Would you mind sharing some information about the set up, like did you shoot handheld or on tripod? Shutter speed, Aperture setting, etc? More curious than anything. thanks!

Do I hear $275 from anyone before I post this up on eBay?

Sale pending but it should work on the 7200. It works on my D7100 and they both have the internal focusing motor.

Beautiful lens. If I had the whole $200 available I wouldn't hesitate to snap it up.

Thanks. I tried to price it to sell on here. If you scrounge up the funds, you know where to reach me :)

EXCELLENT condition and used very little but a great travel/walk around/everyday use lens. I broke this out recently when I went to Shanghai and Hong Kong but am back into my using only Primes mode again so I wanted to pass this along to someone who could enjoy it more than me at this time.

I used this on my Nikon D300 and really loved the flexibility it provided as well as the picture quality. Please let me know if you have any questions.

$200 shipped to US address only.
