You folks are proof that even a dumb question can lead to a great learning opportunity.

Thanks again for expanding my horizons.

Thanks & yes I too see my topics/posts & a few coments i hadn't seen before. I guess i was hoping for more input on how i might have done better. Is there a rule about trying again?

I now have the Adobe subscription to LR & PS. I'm trying to decide which way to go.

Like others I've been using my downtime to improve my PP skills.

Q1; I recently posted a few pics 2x to the gallery hoping for CD. Well although i can find both posts under my name on UHH, neither post appeared. Wondering what I did wrong. Is it ok if I try to repost the same pics?

Q2; I typically stick to landscapes, occasionally doing a few portraits or candid people pics. Lately, withe the help of Meunch & Co., I've gained a pretty good basic understanding of Lightroom. PS looks like a pretty steep learning curve with little gain given the type of pics I'm doing. Still more recently I've been looking at Luminar. I've reviewed their sales stuff & some of the posts here. Wondering if others have more recent experience. I'd especially like to hear from anyone who switched from Lightroom to Luminar.

Well that's it for now. Stay safe, healthy & thanks for a great site.

Like a lot of us, I've been focusing on postprocessing. Specifically, trying to get a handle a light room.

A while back… I hiked the Haleakala crater on Maui (Hawaii), in and out with a Minolta SRT 101. Maybe I also took a second body, and SRT 102, a Rokor 16mm & maybe a 20 mm. Kodachrome slides were scanned a few years ago. The highly subjective postprocessing touches were added over the last few days.

All comments and criticism very greatly appreciated.

Enjoy, stay safe and healthy

Didn't we used to call them "rangefinders"?

I subscribe to a number of sites (FB etc.) that follow the Salt River wild horses & efforts to protect them. I hope to get there one day. Thanks for your pics... They are among the best.

Greetings all;

I've been using Lightroom for some time with raw files saved on a separate/portable 5TB HDD. Having recently installed a new internal 10TB HDD, I'd like to move my raw files to that location.

I am however concerned that if I have to re-import everything from into the new location, I may lose edits I've saved over the years.

Am I making up a problem that doesn't exist? If this is a problem, is there a solution?

Thanks all,

Richard Baker

Pretty much same setup here... smart tv w/jpegs... BUT I watch movies & view still w/PLEX, it was a free download for TV & PC back then (don't know now). PLEX on tv, accesses pc via Wi-Fi. Setup on pc allows user to designate a folder for stills that can be viewed on tv.
