The possibilities of post-production in Photoshop are virtually limitless - from a mild retouch to a massive recasting of the image. Perhaps if you mentioned what you'd like to see or what your vision is for the image, some Hoggers might be able to give a bit of help here...
Yes, you are right - I should have formulated my question more clearly. I'm not interested in a total remake of the image at this point - I would just like to see how much more detail post processing could show of the bird.
I am considering wether or not to take the plunge on learning serious post processing. If anyone is willing I'd like to see what you can do with Lightroom/Photoshop to enhance this photo - taken at Copake lake, only rudimentarily processed with limited skills. Thanks! Richard
I have the Lightning trigger from Stepping stone Products. Bought it on the recommendation of Gary Hart before I went on one of his "desert Monsoon Lightning" workshops last year. Great functionality.
For most wildlife I am happy with the D500 with the 200 - 500 from Nikon. With birds I sometimes wish for more reach and am considering adding the 1.4 TC at some point.
