I worked in the Mt. Home Demonstration State Forest. Even working there every day, one has to feel the presence of God. Sounds as though you visited a part of this Forest, if you went to Balch Park-a County Park. Personally, I think you made a good choice by visiting the National, State, and County managed forests.
It isn't that Americans can't do that work, it's because they don't have to do that work. As long as their Uncle Sam will take care of them, why work? Actually, working hard, manually, or mentally, is good for the soul. We should look forward to work. Any work, is better than no work. Trying to start at the top, leaves only one option everything is downhill after that. Manual labor never really hurt anyone.

There are black vultures in Texas, I think they call them Mexican Vultures.
That smoke made it to Colorado, one day we could look directly at the sun until about 1030 hrs. After that some clouds rolled in and it was overcast the rest of the day.
If the bases are loaded, then the first hit of the game cannot be a grand slam. Unless I am mistaken, a grand slam is a home run with the bases loaded. More properly, the first home run was a grand slam. If I am mistaken please correct me.
Well done. I like the effect.
I would consider #'s 1, 2, and 5 your best candidates #2 is probably the winner.
Looks like a Rattlesnake to me. They are very good eating. Taste like chicken-just kidding. They have more of a white fish taste.
The bad news is, it appears the fish has a hook in it. Looks like fishing line was trailing behind the fish. The fell off in about photo #3 but the hook might well still be in the fish. Hopefully the Osprey will eat around the hook and not swallow the hook.
Is that a bear, is it in the woods? There you go.
Br Chuck,
I appreciate your reply, regardless of the timing. It was good to see your artwork once again. It brought back memories.

That is a great shot! Hope you find more that are equal to it, or better.
Looks like three osprey to me.
