Welcome to the forum! Plenty of gear to do good photography, Wyoming is an awesome state, sometimes I want to move there for awhile, (even though I have it pretty good here in Rochester.) Would like to see some of your photos of the Cody area.

Just returned from 4 day trip to Florida with family to visit friends, packed light; Space Center Space-X launch, Daytona Beach, Clearwater Beach, Bok Tower, Kissimmee + 4 friends' locations. First time without D750, just my new Pixel 7a. Almost sorry to say, didn't miss the Nikon, photography-wise, but always felt a bit too light, and that I had forgotten something.

SOOC does not mean, "unaltered". I alter a lot of photos before I shoot. Using contrast or saturation tweaks, even zooming for compression, or aperture for separating background etc. alters the image. Shooting RAW with a 45mm lens on FF at f5.6 with zero exposure compensation might come close to "unaltered"

For a good view of the surrounding mountains and foliage, Coney Mountain just south of Tupper Lake on Rt. 30 is an easy climb of about 1/2 hour. Bog River Falls is nearby and looks especially beautiful in the fall.

We surfaced at the North Pole and it was around -21 deg we even played baseball at the Pole till a couple of polar bears appeared, then time to go in. It was a warm few days there

Always amazed at the vast variety of experiences our collective "hogs" have experienced. how many in this world can actually say they surfaced at the North Pole, and played baseball there, no less!?
Thank you for your service, and for sharing!

During my two years stationed in sight of the beach in Vietnam, we had a couple of spells where the nights dropped into the 60s for a day or two. You would have thought it was Antarctica in winter from the reactions of the locals and guys who had been there long enough to acclimate.

We enjoyed our Fusion hybrid for a 3 year lease, but prefer our 4 gasoline powered cars. As long as the earth has it, we should be using the oil. Other electric technologies without the current (pun intended!) problems with lithium and charging might be the routes to go.

I found a much wider variety of photo magazines at the local college library. That might be a good place to visit to see first-hand some of what is out there.
