called and said that there was a Purple Sandpiper reported at Lake Carl Blackwell (about 60 miles south). Said she could be here in 30 min. While were we looking at some Hooded Mergansers when the park employees drove up and ask if we were were looking for the sandpiper. He told us to follow him and led us to the bird. People we talked to just before this said that it was not there. Timing is everything. Very rare in Oklahoma-this is only the second confirmed sighting.

This danged computer must be broke. I tried everything I could to slide those plates off of the screen and onto my table. I am still hungry. Thanks for sharing.

Great action picture. I like the overall horizontal colour striation of black, white, blue and then that the colourful subject is situated in the central white - and also to the side (left). Also, that you've made it slightly panoramic in format adds measurably to the overall effect. Good shot.

Thanks PaulG. Well stated. The panoramic came about because it was made into a nice large wall poster for the jet ski riders wall. Thanks again for the comment.

Sorry but the lake looks as if the water is running off to the left.

I am standing on the shore and I have no control over the jet ski. It is like taking a photo of a bird on an electric wire, you can alter it but it changes the perception of the photo.

Thanks for the kind remarks. Was just playing around. Used 1/3200 sec shutter speed, f7.1 and ISO at1000 and was rather surprised at the results.
