I spent the morning @ Circle B. I watched this big guy catch a Gar about 100 yards out and head towards shore. The water level is super low so the last 50 yards was through a very soupy mud. He dragged the gar through the mud and crossed the road with him about 5 feet from me. I had to back up to get him in the shot. The shot of him with the Gar in his mouth in the mud was about 5 feet away. I figured he was not going to give up the fish that he had to nail me. I had to come down off the bank to see him through the weeds. Awesome morning. A very prehistoric looking beast. The Gar & the Gator.
