Sue, if you like donkeys you should read this funny and delightful book sometime:
Last of the Donkey Pilgrims - Kevin O'Hara
His journey of self-discovery begins as a mad lark: who in their right mind would try to circle the entire coastline of Ireland on foot—and with a donkey and cart no less?
But Kevin had promised his homesick Irish mother that he would explore the whole of the Old Country and bring back the sights and the stories to their home in Massachusetts.

Thank you for your opinion. About B&W you are talking about my particular picture or any one?

MMC, I did'nt mean your B&W photo specifically. I meant that my preference is almost always for color photography over B&W. I do admire the old B&W dust bowl era photos however.

#1 more realistic and appealing. B&W doesn't do much for me anymore.

Rather a presumptuous name, The World, don't you think?

Rob, coincidentally I captured a picture of this ship with a big gash in her hull several years ago. If you are interested I will dig it up and post it here. At the time it was moored at some dock in Asia I believe.

Jim, if you'd like, I'll take one of the images and see what I can do with it and post it back here.

I'd prefer to do that with your permission.

Very nice remembrances of a good time. It seems the white balance is somewhat off in a number of them.

Thanks Bob. I'm sure you are right on the white balance. I'm still learning PP experimenting with different programs.

What equipment and settings? When my husband and I went to China in 2007, I had an Olympus Evolt E-330. We went to one of these shows. There was no announcement before the performance about taking pictures or recording the performance like in the U.S. I guess they don't have an actors' union in China. LOL

I really dont remember the model number Collie Lover, other than it was a Canon P & S with a good zoom and performed well in low light. These were all shot less than twenty feet from the stage with no flash while seated at long dining tables with others. They encouraged us to take photos, just no flash. I think the entire troupe invited the free advertising so they might pick up a tour invitation to the U.S. The show really was excellent. Thanks for looking.

I hear that when a cat sleeps on it's back like that it is a sure sign that they are very happy!

We only hear complaints when the food bowl gets empty!

Helvatia. The higher I went into the mountains the more vibrant the colors. In my area the hills were dull.

These are beautiful photos Cat. Very nicely done.

These were captured during a shore excursion visit on a cruise from Bejing to Hong Kong. One evening we were taken to a small dinner theater to see this musical production. The costumes were elaborate and colorful and the music most interesting. I did some PP on these photos for sharpening and haze primarily but tried to keep the costume colors original without any further hue or saturation.
