This pic was taken a few weeks ago on a small island off the east coast of Ireland. The island ( Dalkey Island ) has a lot of nesting birds including tern, gulls and gannets... I happened to snap this one flying by but had trouble identifying it.. Almost looks like a vulture but didn't catch the front.

The prints are on some kind of fabric.
They are very sharp and have excellent color rendition.
I have done some 16-24 and 1 20-36.

I use an 85mm 1.8 and find it covers a face pretty well at 5.6 at the distances I use it and softens the background pretty well. Practice makes perfect though.

A long time favorite. These are mostly colonial era markers from New England and Boston area mostly.
The second to bottom stone is better known as Mother Goose who told stories to children in colonial times.
The bottom stone was the basis for the well known story of the Scarlet Letter... Elizabeth Paine with the eternal A on her marker. Lot of great history in these stones.

Western Ireland has a lot of great places to shoot and be outside. Take your time and enjoy.
Which airport in France are you flying into? Marseille or Nice?
Nice is very close to the Mediterranean Alps which has spectacular villages in the mountains...
Marseilles is surrounded by the beautiful small hill top villages likes Gordes or Bonnieaux. Beautiful terrain also.
If you are in this area check out the Buoux Valley... There is an old fort that is a short hike up to a great view of the whole valley.
