Challenge: Cemetery Images- Nov. 11-13, 2021
There are many things common in cemeteries, but there is occasionally something a bit different as well. Headstones of notable people, interesting words on headstones, and uncommon styles of headstones can be of interest. Sometimes there other objects of interest as well. I hope you enjoy the challenge to find some interesting things to photograph in cemeteries.
There are typically many cemeteries in most areas, so finding some to search out photo opportunities shouldn't require too much time or travel. When it comes to cemeteries, some are large, some small, some fairly young, many old, and some nearly forgotten.

I stopped and looked at it while on my way to a church being built that I designed. (Faith to Face Ministries).
Seen at St. Peter cemetery in Jefferson City, MO.

Wonderful images to start, BBarn I saw that gravestone for Billy the Kid - with my name (Pat Garrett) my husband likes to say I am the sheriff that killed Billy the Kid. I will be back. Thank you so much for hosting.

Thanks for posting the nice pictures from Arlington National. I found my visit there very interesting. Seem to recall seeing Audie Murphy's headstone right next to one of the paths there.

Thank you for contributing. I like the framing of the first one.
Cemeteries in local church yards
Been around some time ago but these are spot on for this Challenge.
''Here lies the body of Elodietremblay''
There is a story here. It should have been Elodie Tremblay but back then many people wrote by sound, those who could write. This is back country in Charlevoix Co., 90 minutes from Québec City

This should garner some nice posts, thanks for hosting Bbarn. Nice series to kick us off.
I'll be back for sure.
With a view on the St.Lawrence River, which back then was the only means of transportation. St-Irenée was a fishing village.
