GREAT... thanks everyone for the insight. I am fairly familiar with the St. Louis area but not Chicago, and Indianapolis. Thanks so much I will start my search for parking lots. I have also booked an afternoon, and evening boat tour. I thought that would be a good way for the students (and myself) to get some good architecture shots.

Curios... is there a skyscraper in Chicago, or Indianapolis that has an observation deck for day or night shots?

Thanks again.

Greetings all... I will be escorting a high school photography class on a tour through several cities next week. We will visit St. Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville heading back to Tennessee afterwards.

I am specifically looking for areas in the downtown Chicago area, or any other SAFE Chicago, and Indianapolis areas to take the students. I googled "The Bean" in downtown Chicago area. Can anyone offer GPS locations for other interesting places to shoot. I will be driving a school bus and will need to park it somewhere.

Thanks in advance

I have both the 750 and the 810. I purchased that 810 when it first hit the streets and have never been disappointed. It is an amazing camera. I purchase the 750 shortly after it arrived on the scene. Everyone is correct the EQ is excellent on both. Since acquiring the 750 I use it the majority of the time. If I am shooting subjects that will require close cropping I use the 810 because of the extra mp's.

If the 750 would have been available at the time I purchased the 810... it would have been a tough choice.

It looks like perhaps she's walking to her shooting location and saw an opportunity along the way/

Not sure why I'm getting these double post... I must be accidentally pushing the button twice.

I have Sigzilla mounted on a D810, and D4s... and the images are incredible. Just as sharp as my Nikon 80-400 and the AF is fast. I tried with a 1/4" TC but the AF was considerably slower. When I need extra zoom I used the DX crop instead with very good results.

You only have to get used to the weight... it"s a heavy piece of glass especially when walking long distances mounted on the pod... HAPPY HUNTING

Know exactly what you mean... previously in these high tourist areas I would pack up and head for the hills. Recently I park myself in convenient locations and capturing getting some really good street photography images. I'll see what Destin has to offer.

Thanks again

Sounds great... if departing from San Destin could I cover the significant stops on the 30A drive in one day round trip? Is there any particular location that would be better for wildlife... more specifically birding?

In the past when visiting other beaches along the Atlantic I was able to get my best captures around fishing peers. I am excited at the opportunity to put my Sigma 150-600 sport to the test.

Thanks again to everyone for all the responses

Thanks a bunch everyone... I googled the Navy base and thought for sure that it would have photo restrictions. I will certainly plan on going by. I am also researching the nearby State Parks.

This should keep me busy for a few days. . .

Thanks again

I will have the opportunity to visit Destin Florida next month. I'm looking forward to capturing some beach shots, and shore birds. I am looking for other places, or things of interest... wondering if anyone has suggestions.

I will take equipment for landscape, wildlife and everything in between.

Thanks in advance
