Thanks for sharing. I was in August and it was packed with wall to wall people. The bridge was so packed on the right side of the photo.

Thanks Stan. You must have had great color in August. On the last day only the hardiest plants are able to show some life and color but it was better than not being able to go at all!

It was cold, it was rainy and it was the last day in 2019 that anyone could visit Monet's home and gardens at Giverny. Not as spectacular for color and quantity of floral splendor as in the spring and summer, but enough there to give you a feel for what it can be when it's in full bloom.

Gorgeous shots with the fall colors. Well done!!!

Thanks you CathyAnn, I can assure you that the place is terrific whatever time of year. It is only open for 7 months but during that time it really glows. The gardens are spectacular. They are across the street between the house and the ponds. I am going to post some shots of what is left there at the end of October when they close the place down.

Beautiful! Interesting note from the Monet exhibition in San Francisco: the ponds are man-(Monet-) made. He designed and oversaw the construction.

Thanks for the look and the comments bamfordr. Monet lavished his attention on his home and garden in Giverny and it shows.

Very Beautiful !!!

Thank you PH CIB glad you enjoyed the pictures. We have been there at least 4 times and the first time I believe was in 1982. That day there were only about 8 people that visited the place, today it is a cast of hundreds each day!
