Hi Mike, Carol, and JRiepe,
thank you for viewing! The area is called Vasquez Peak Wilderness - about 10 miles West of Winter Park, CO.
It is a high mountain bench (Lateral Moraine) about 200 feet above the valley floor, at an elevation of 11 000 feet.
Cheers and happy shooting!
I went through the same process, Joe - and decided to give up the speed - for high definition.
Good luck!
Okay, Dean, it is your experiment.
Most of your images call for a better focus, though.
Cheers!
Knowledgeable people talk less and right to the point.
People having problems with communication talk a lot (mostly: "You know") expecting that the other person knows, or guess, what they mean.
Photography is a way to communicate through images.
Mirrorless camera lenses do not need to complicate the lens design adding extra elements to compensate for the size of the mirror box. That goes for all lenses - especially the very wide ones.
Another advantage is the EVF which allows you to see the image (and the information) all the time - as opposed to a split second time when the mirror is traveling - on DSLR.
EVF which used to be a point of question has been improved in the past few years.
Size and weight become irrelevant now - because some mirrorless cameras are almost the same size and weight as the DSLRs.
Number two looks interesting, Matt.
For number four I would recommend a stacked focus (or tilt and shift lenses) in order to get most planes sharp.
In general - for landscapes (if you don't mind) a polarizing filter improves the greens and the cloud detail.
Happy shooting!
Interesting, lovely headshot on the first one - forget the bottoms of both images.
The background on the second image is distracting.
Hi Jim, I am not sure about the left side of your image? It comes on my screen with all detail lost. Was it your intention? Maybe if you lower the contrast, it would reveal at least something?
Cheers!
Or a gradual development of species by several accidents and billions of years?
Cheers!
A great setting for a movie!
I wonder, what the color would do - to see the contrast between the rocks, water, and the living vegetation?
Cheers!

A great setting for a movie, for sure!
I wonder, how much color would do for the eye - I mean the contrast between the rocks and the living vegetation?
I feel sorry for the community turning their backs on their own history.
Pictures are okay Steve, but it would be nice to see the church with full vegetation in the summer.
Cheers!
