thanks for your interest. Well I'm basically selling it for $300. A USPS Priority Mail Large Flat rate box with $300 insurance is $23.40. So I will have to stick with my $325 price. Mark
Nice shot of the mittens but they don't fit. :)
twowindsbear is correct, the shoe mount has a tiny switch and also a flat piece of metal that is under the rail of the hot shoe. This piece of metal and or the switch will occasionally stick or hang up the switch. Being careful not to put to much pressure on the metal, try pushing down and releasing it to see if the switch clears. The switch tells the camera that an external flash is mounted and don't raise the pop up flash.
Great capture, love the colors in the hawk.

Thanks Longshadow, I have that one printed 13x19 and it really pops on paper. One of my top favorites from the trip.
Finally getting around to post some pictures from my Fall Colors Colorado Trip. All taken between Sept 23 and Oct 1.
Stunning capture, very nicely done.
To add to Jeep Daddy's list; Tamron has a great 18-200mm in EF-M mount. I have it and it rivals the Canon lenses when I shoot at f8 or f11. Canon should have made a lens with this range instead of needing two Canon's to match this range.
I have the M3 and use the Canon adapter with my EF 85 1.8 for portraits. Keeps the weight down and is responsive enough for portraits, plus the 1.8 is a great lens at 1.8 & 2.0 with an eq focal length of 136mm. I don't have to 'crowd' the subject.
This heron was hiding from me but at the same time stalking me as he thought I had food. Taken at the Ft. Worth Botanical Garden with my Canon M3 and Tamron 18-200mm VC lens.
My daughter's 60D just did the same thing. had to send it to Canon for service. They replace the DC power board.
Spent a day this week along the Talimena Scenic Drive in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The colors are just starting to turn but based upon the amount of leaves already falling it looks like it will NOT be a peak year for color unless the weather cooperates very soon.
Trying out my new Canon M3.
All shot in Av mode at f 8.0

Canon has a small micro switch built into the right side (looking from the back) on the hot shoe. It's hard to see but you should be able to see a small metal 'flap' that slides over the switch when an external flash is mount in the hot show. The micro switch is suppose to prevent the pop up flash from popping up with a flash attached. Check to see if you can see the micro switch and or the metal flap. If you are careful, try using a toothpick and move the flap to see if that will let the switch pop back up. If the switch is stuck down due to a misalignment or has been forced down for some reason then the whole flash 'logic' will be messed up. If you can't see or move the switch then yes, get your camera to a service center.
