Frankly, the attitude of complete disdain for the wellbeing of those who are unable to fight for themselves shown by Mitt and the people who think he is the new messiah is more than enough to make me vote for almost anyone who isn't a Republican. Sadly,it has come down to a "if you can't do anything positive....and it was clear before the last election that anything Obama tried to do wa going to be promptly quashed regardless of whether it was a good thing or not......it's better to do nothing."

I looked up a lot of the stuff, and found it true. That is the most evil bill that has ever been enacted. There is 2,700 pages of rules that will destroy America. It is disgusting!

And it is almost word for word what Baby Bush was promoting until he got busy enriching his friends and family chasing down nonexistent WMDs and dropped it.

They are great, but I agree, you were far too close unless that was a 100X400 lens at the very least!

Since this is the Picture Gallery, not the Photo C&C forum, I think this pic fits just fine. Oh, and tlanuwa, you might want to rethink feeding that little (?) mooch for a day or two. Like the ones I feed, he's getting to be a bit...uh...fluffy LOL!

Might I politely suggest that when I made my comment it was indeed in the Photo C&C which as we vknow is where we ask for comments.

Apparently I was late coming to the thread, and there is no way to know if a thread has been moved. It wasn't personal, and if it felt that way, I apologize. It's just that lately it seems that there are some folks who want to pick apart and belittle everyone and everything, and being sleep-shorted for two weeks and a bit short tempered, I may have overreacted a bit.

"100 yrs from now The good old US of A may be no more."

I hate to say it, but that county only exists in our memories right now. The country we live in now is not the one my dad and the rest of his fellow Marines hit the beach on Iwo Jima to fight for.

Ah, yes, that "the mentally ill should live in the least restrictive environment possible" Ronnie Reagan program....which sounds lovely. Unfortunately, like other good intentions, the reality doesn't quite shake out as advertised. The reality is that these people, who are seriously mentally ill, now are living under a bridge and eating out of trash cans while stashing thousands of dollars worth of uncashed checks that they pick up at the welfare office every month (because they don't have an address)because they have no clue what a check is or what to do with one . Of course, if they DID cash them the ones who prey upon them would just beat the crap out of them and take the cash.

Yeah, it's not just Indiana, it's everywhere. Of course, Indiana has so many things to be proud of. They forcibly sterilized the "mentally retarded" right up through the mid 70's and their Eugenics program was what Hitler modeled his on.

Better the liberal left who have some social conscience and who realize that the fact that someone is unable to work does not mean that their lives are of no value than the conservative right.

Point in case: The religious right in Indiana decided in 2010 that it was just fine to cease allowing the developmentally disabled who manage, with supports, to live in the community (which is significantly cheaper than institutionalizing them) a food allotment DESPITE A $2 BILLION SURPLUS IN THE STATE'S BUDGET.

If they want to eat, they must somehow (and remember, these people are DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED) make a choice of whether they want to not pay rent, utilities, or some other basic living expense in order to buy even a minimal supply of food for the month.

Sleep well, America. The conservatives are handling everything for you, and it won't take long before they eliminate these entitled leeches and put some more money in their pockets. By the way.....what have YOU done for them lately?

I treat my pets better than Indiana treats its most vulnerable citizens, and I won't apologize to the two of you or anyone else for that.

Nice to see flowers that have not had people spray water on them for some sort of effect.
I couldn't spray water if I wanted to. Drought + watering ban.

We're currently 2.7' (yes, FEET!) above flood stage in the bayou half a mile from my house LOL......and rain predicted every day for the next ten days!! In fact, last night was the first night in almost two weeks that my 30 pound chihuahua X did not glue himself to my chest because of thunder, lightning, or both. Poor little guy had hyperopia (Excess fluid between the lens and the corneas) as a puppy which damaged his sight, and now as he is aging the resultant cataracts are getting worse and loud noises like storms, fireworks, and gunshots terrify him.
