There is something that is pushed by the camera manufactures that only with a new lens can you take advantage of the newest sensors. This is pure hogwash. One of the reasons that I shoot with Nikon is because they have never changed the lens mount. I am constantly looking for for old lens (Some cheap and others not so) that i can use on my cameras. I ahve been presently surprised about the quality of most of the lens that I own. My favorite is the Medical Nikkor 200mm f 5.6 with built in modeling lights and flash. Of course Nikon is hyping up the old glass because obviously they don't make any money on used lenses. I own and use a 50mm f1.8 d quite a bit it never lets me down and it only cost me $28.00.

I was at an event last June, I was carrying 2 nikon D800E's. Out of no where a guy walked up to me with his phone and said that he couldn't get a sharp picture out of his phone, I told him that I couldn't figure out to make a phone call with my camera. for some reason he didn't think that was funny. LOL

The equipment manufacturers try to hype us out that you need the new glass to take advantage the newer cameras i.e. nikon D850. And its all poppy cock.

I have been using ROR for the longest time and I love. Just make sure that you only let it on teh surfae of the glass. if it goes goes down into the mount is will float dirt to the surface. https://www.amazon.com/ROR-Optical-Cleaner-Spray-Bottle/dp/B0002HMRF2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522645703&sr=8-3&keywords=ror+lens+cleaner

My favorite Bags are Billingham bags, they are expensive and very well made. Most camera bags are sprayed with a chemical to give them waterproofing. I had a bag that the waterproofing dried out and flaked off covering the gear in the bag with a fine dust. Billingham bags get there waterproofing by using dis-similar fabrics. so as long as there is no hole in the bag it maintains it waterproofing.

Yes, you are right. Sony is your only choice. To get something affordable you would need to buy a Sony A7. You should be able to get a used one for $400-500. Then you would need a $10 adapter to attach your lenses to the camera.

no its not ridiculous at all, I love doing street Photography and have done it for years. but I was away from it got a while and getting back into it, I realized that I am much more timid than I used to be.
back in the film days what I would do using a wide angle lens is pre focus and stop the lens down to like F8. And just take pictures and keep moving. The other thing is that a lot of people at public outdoor events
feel that they have a right to privacy, when in reality they do not.

Hello all. I am looking for a Mirrorless full frame body that I can use Leica M and R lens on with a built in viewfinder. I can not afford a Leica Digital, and it has to be full frame because I love wide angle lens. And in my search it seems that the only people that make cameras that will satisfy my needs is Sony. SO my question is two fold 1st did I miss any other options that fit my list of needs. 2nd what is the least expensive Full Frame Sony body( I don't need a lot of bells and whistles, I just want to use my lenses)

THANKS
John

It was 1968. I was 13 and in 7th grade. All of my friends were artists and I could not draw a picture to save my life. So my mothers friend needed her house painted, I painted the whole house for $40 so I could buy a Pentax Spotmatic. The thing is that I am allergic to paint. so i would paint all day and be sick all night. The big thing that i remember about the whole thing is that one of my mothers friends, told her tht she would not have allowed me to waste money on a camera or some such nonsense. she would have made me buy underwear. My Mom replied hes a man and he worked for that camera shouldn't he be able to buy what he wants with his money. In 1976 I got married and my now ex-wife told me tha i either had to give her up or photography.you know i missed her for a while.

The best b&w paper I ever used (wet darkroom) was Dupont Varilour and Varigram. it had a lot of silver in it and made the nicest blacks it was before RC papers. The last I had was in the early 1970's

A friend of mine always carried a dummy wallet with a couple dollars and some other stuff to make it look convincing, and we both carried our money and passports in wallets that we wore around our necks under our clothes
