Hello all. I am looking for a Mirrorless full frame body that I can use Leica M and R lens on with a built in viewfinder. I can not afford a Leica Digital, and it has to be full frame because I love wide angle lens. And in my search it seems that the only people that make cameras that will satisfy my needs is Sony. SO my question is two fold 1st did I miss any other options that fit my list of needs. 2nd what is the least expensive Full Frame Sony body( I don't need a lot of bells and whistles, I just want to use my lenses)

THANKS
John

Rumor has it that Nikon will be introducing a F/F mirrorless camera this year. I want to upgrade my camera so, I plan on waiting to see what Nikon comes up with. Nikon is always a good bet.

Yes, you are right. Sony is your only choice. To get something affordable you would need to buy a Sony A7. You should be able to get a used one for $400-500. Then you would need a $10 adapter to attach your lenses to the camera.

At 87 my Nikon D-810 got too heavy for me. Sold all my Nikon gear. Now with Fujifilm XT-2.

I agree. Sold my D750 and lenses for a Fuji XT-2 with fast primes and zooms and love it.

He has company as I'm waiting with him. I am hoping that some of my existing Nikon lenses will be usable on the new body, but won't be shocked if they aren't the best choices. As of this moment, if I do go to another system, Fuji is looking pretty good. Best of luck.

a7 is the cheapest full frame. The a7II does give you image stabilization.

It’s not.

Only sony right now makes a full frame mirrorless camera.

That said there are some great wide angle options for the other mirrorless formats. I own the Olympus 7-14 f 2.8 (14-28mm equiv), and find it to be superb.

Ok, But I already own a bunch of Leica, Pentax and Canon FD mount lenses that i want to be able to use. And to be very honest when the Fujifilm cameras came out I was very excited cause they even looked like the M leicas. But none of them are full frame.

The current apsc and even m4/3 sensors are so good these days, especially with pixel shift technology, that one has to ask if they really need FF. All those lenses you listed will still work with them.
