Did you see the just announced Nikon Black Friday preview sale? $300.00 off bringing it to $3299.95.

No I did not. This lens is consistently selling used for $3000 without a replacement foot. Perhaps somebody with extra cash would want the new with warranty so thank you for pointing this out for those in that category.

A great lens that was used sparingly for wide angle work on DX body. I am original owner and will come with box and all paperwork and packing. Glass is clean and lens functions perfectly. Not a mark on the body.$200

This lens is sharp and was my go to landscape when I owned DX cameras. I am the original owner and the box is included with pouch and paper work. There isn't a mark on it that I can find. Glass is clean and AF is snappy. $225.

This is a sharp copy, works flawlessly and body and glass are clean. Comes with a Hejnar replacement tripod foot and original box, manual and case. Price is firm, net to me $2950. I have moved to Sony and decided to shoot only one system.

Kim, am I correct in assuming the photos on your link above were taken with this camera? Bob

Ummm, no Bob...those are very terrible quick, cell phone grabs...if you are referring to the photos in the this post for the camera. Ugh...I do birds and wildlife, not stills/indoor work.

This was my go to for birds and works flawlessly and is one of Nikon's best! It has just returned from Nikon with a replaced VR system, cleaned and inspected. It is sharp and the glass and body are clean. I can find only one tiny mark on the body in the images below. I have had a lens coat on it and will be included. It will also come with all the original items, the carbon fiber hood, hard case, Lens Coat collapsible travel hood, Don Zeke lens cover, Wimberly replacement foot, and NPS raincoat.

There are 2 flaws, one mentioned above and on the first hood which is slightly bent on the outer rim seen in pictures. Because of this, I gave it a 9. Body is easily a 9+. Does not effect function. Will be shipped in hard case in original shipping box tracked and covered by me CONUS. PP fees covered by you. PM for recent paper work from Nikon.
Price: $4900

Tiny mark shown here.

Hood shown, slightly bent - no effect on images.

Nikon D5 with original box, Charger, EN-EL18 battery, manual. US Model. Used for low light and high action wildlife. It shows some scuffs along one edge. Works perfectly. Actuation 63,000. Photos available by PM. This camera was sold to someone who had buyers remorse and wanted to stay with his D4's. Tracked Shipping covered by me, PP fees covered by you. Price $2500

This image reflects the only scuff to camera. Does not effect performance.

I live in southern Delaware, where the elevations range from 0 to about 50 ft and "hiking" is more of a walk off pavement. So I suspect I'd have a similar experience. But I used to live in NYS, and hiking meant a pair of sturdy boots, and lots of climbing up and down stuff, rock scrambles, etc - and that's where I think the camera would be a pain. I use a Cotton Carrier for my full frame gear when I go on hikes that are more than just a stroll on a gravel trail.

I have been thinking about cotton carrier but concerned about heat...Brazil, the desert, Kansas in the summer. etc...ugh.

I am more in the 10 mile hike range, lunch, 10 essentials, and a few other things...you can see that my camera is not exactly small...and I do often carry the Pro 7-14 lens as well,,,which is weighty. On really nasty hikes I do downsize to a smaller camera... and maybe a few smaller m43 lenses. Case in point...in Peru at 15,000 feet I was in no mood to carry a tripod.

The backpack mentioned does have the ability to carry several lenses in the rotational fanny pack (a genius invention) and there is an insert for the top compartment as well to carry a few larger lenses...

Admired for your hikes, organization and sharing your set-up! I just about bit on Olympus to reduce weight. Have to admit, that is one sweet option if you are going the distance. Definitely a hiker AND photographer.
