Moving to mirrorless. This is a sharp copy, works flawlessly and body and glass are clean. Comes with a Hejnar replacement tripod foot and original box, manual and case. Hard to see this one go. Images available via PM. $2950

This lens works great on mirrorless. I use mine on my Z7 with the FTZ a lot. Sometimes even with a 1.7X TC, as these pics were taken with.

I assume by mirrorless she means non-Nikon (ie. Sony or Canon or Olympus).

The problem with Sony is which lens to use? The 200-600mm is (for me) a bit too heavy (4.7 pounds). A Canon 100-500mm works pretty good on the R5 and is only 3 pounds. Even an Olympus 150-400mm with built in TC at 4.1 pounds would be nice? I am hoping that the Z9 will allow me to continue use of my 500mm PF (3.2 pounds) with the advantages of the mirrorless.
Let us know how you like the Sony! Did you already try one out?

This is the first used 500mm PF I have ever seen for sale, which I believe is a sign of how loved this lens is. I’d keep one Nikon body just to be able to use this lens.

If you change your mind let me know. I also have the D850. Its a great camera although it may be a bit of a dinosaur give the advances and new found popularity of the new mirrorless cameras.
