Super set Vic! Same here in my area. Very little to speak of in the Odonate department. I've heard the sam from many around the country.
Take care my friend.

Thank you Tony! I suppose it's possible the water warmed up too much, but that didn't seem to bother the bull frogs. There are a few of the more common dragons around, but very few.

Awesome awareness on your part, Victor. Even the Z9 probably needs around 1/3200th for this action. Still, an incredible capture.

Bubba

Thanks Bubba! You're right! Or at least 2500th/sec. I was expecting still perched shots & I usually shoot those @ 800th/sec and forgot to raise it.

Now that is one great photographic sequence. Great set, Vic.

Thanks Ken. This one belonged in the series, but I didn't have room.

Awesome series. Lucky you. RTRP!

Thanks! I've been told: "the harder you work, the luckier you get"
I go out every day as a rule when dragons are in season.

Rite place at the rite time. Excellent. Pretty quick thinking & ay good considering. I would of pushed the shutter & thought about changing the settings about 2 minutes after it was over.

Thanks!
That is my usual proceedure!
