Black saddlebags
Tramea lacerata (male)
The only one I've seen here this season.
---------
Flame skimmer (male) Libellula saturata
----------
A well camouflaged Variegated meadowhawk
Sympetrum corruptum
Also one of the few meadowhawks this season and the only variegated.
----------
The last is a striped meadowhawk hiding in the blackberry shadows S.pallipes
Usually very common here, this year only a few.

They are quite common in Oregon, but I've only seen one specimen, this one, here at my ponds. They are indeed attractive!

Super set Vic! Same here in my area. Very little to speak of in the Odonate department. I've heard the sam from many around the country.
Take care my friend.

Very nice. Not many dragons around here this season, either. I think our extreme drought kept the population low.

Thank you Tony! I suppose it's possible the water warmed up too much, but that didn't seem to bother the bull frogs. There are a few of the more common dragons around, but very few.
