Re: the Nikon manuals I forgot to mention a lot are Spanish also.
They will be in Miami at Pitman Photo this weekend and as one camera one lens says they are very good to work with overall. Just keep in mind when buying they have to make money too. I've bought from them and was very happy with the merchandise. Their description is right on.
I have over 300 NOS Nikon manuals for film cameras, some flashes, lenses and a few assorted others. If you are looking for something special send me a pm and I'll let you know if I have it. Prices start at $3.00 and will be priced to sell just add the shipping. Thanks !!!
You can always call 1.800.nikon.us and get a tech rep to help you. Once you learn your camera you'll like it a lot.
I shoot a lot of indoor action with sometimes horrible lighting and you can't so wrong with the 70-200 2.8. You'll love it and it will do the job for you. Later you may want to upgrade your camera and you will really se great results from that lens.
Very sorry to hear that. Our store in Ft. Lauderdale took over from Wolf/Ritz and has a great staff in there. They just started rentals and we're doing well with it. As mentioned another local down and we really don't have another good one around. Pitman in Miami is the next best.
Everyone has given you great input just keep another thing in mind. When the company says it gives a US warranty that may not mean the manufacturers warranty. It is usually their own and Nikon will not warranty any "grey" market cameras. I don't know about Canon. For your new Nikon be sure you get a Nikon warranty. Good Luck !
I've been lucky for I've been using Lexar a long time. I did have one bad card one time and Lexar replaced it right away. Hopefully they will for you also.
I too use a TC 1.7 on my 70-200 2.8 VR ll and am very happy
with it.
Jerryc41 is exactly right. I have a Nikon D4 and I couldn't get the job done without that camera. I shoot a lot of sports and a bunch indoor sometimes with horrible lighting. It allows me to go up to a very high ISO range, get a 250 or more shutter speed and capture superb images. It all started with me once I got my first D3 and then moved up from their. From what I hear the D4s did an awesome job at the Olympics. I'm getting older now and slowing down so for me I think my D4 will be my last high end camera.
I can only tell you from my experience with my Nikon TC 1.7 ll converter on my D4 camera it is awesome. Super fast on my 70-200 2.8 ll lens and image quality is excellent. Like the others said you loose a little for example your 2.8 may become a 3.5 or F4 however it is well worth if you need to get out there more.
Good for you. I had a similar situation where I received a shipment of Nikon gear including big fast glass that was going out for an event. Everything a photographer needs plus. Of course it was returned I wasn't about to be liable for thousands of dollars worth of pro gear that I would have loved to have.... HOWEVER !!!
Excellent input from the shooters here. I'll just add my two cents by saying I've been shooting since the late '60's. The 610 has no problems don't be scared of it. I started with a Nikon FTN and have had almost all the great ones over the years. Now it's the D4 and I couldn't be happier. Canon did send me some gear to see if I would switch. Nice lenses like the 300 2.8 etc. All did a great job however not great enough for me to switch. As mentioned the Nikon feel has me hooked along of course with the quality and the F mount for us that have been fast glass from the old days. Ex: 400mm 2.8 that I can still use because the F mount. Good Luck and good shooting.
I have a 1.7 111 and am very very happy with it.
Listen to Db7423. I've been shooting since the late 60's and without a doubt that lens in incredible. Go For It !!!!
