I find that the 28-300 is a great general purpose lens on the D810. It may not be as sharp as the 24-120 but it does good enough for most casual shots. Either way, enjoy the D810 - it is a marvelous piece of equipment.
Upgrading at this point only makes sense - there is nothing to unlearn! PS is a powerful beast with tools you will seldom or never use BUT the ones you do use, ah, those are worth the effort. We have all been overwhelmed with volume of tools and approaches. Like many, I agree that there a dozen different ways to do most things, eleven of which are good.
I suggest bit size pieces adding tools and techniques as you learn. You Tube is your friend, and practice, practice, practice!
Good luck ....
Thanks for sharing this story but more importantly your time and knowledge. Good job!
Have monitor, external drives on one - photo printer on another and TV and cable on another. So much lightning and short power interpretations in south Florida.
I too use the Black Rapid strap but attach it to one of the lugs on the body (with a re-purposed key ring). It's given me no trouble in the past 2.5 years.
I had trouble wireless but everything fell into place when I wired the connection! I've been very happy with this printer. Good luck
Check out jtoolman on You Tube and his Pro 10 play list for a wealth of information. Good Luck!
The comment about the 50mm on the 850 was in a linked article a couple days ago - You ARE NOT having a senior moment!
It's your stuff on the wall - of course you are worthy. Congratulations!
Well it's a good thing. On boarding in Detroit heading home, I got the the full nine yards, even with the pre-screening. The only upsetting part was the little boy asking his mother if I was going to jail during the pat down. Here in Florida, the State posts "Arrive Alive" billboards along the highway. The TSA can look thru my bag as much as they want so I can Arrive Alive!
Check out Jose's site. He just posted the latest from PC which is almost ready with 10 of the 12 inks needed. Red and Blue are causing trouble.
Sorry about your experience and I know we can all relate. I have been intrigued by an idea I read about using an old diaper bag - the idea being that most thieves will find it unattractive!
