the BEST way out is TURN your camera to portrait frame(upright) overlap at least 20% and stitch them together. that will give you all the width you want..,WITHOUT the distortion and have a greater area to crop from(top and bottom)and your MAIN area is in the sharpest part of the lens (any lens )

yes. I made it that size cos I had a few 10 x 8 frames that were broken/damaged but the glass wasn't..so I had spare glass. you can make it larger if you want, but remember THIS size is for coins.
I've NEVER seen one advertised (maybe I could start making them and ''corner the market'' Ha ha ha ha,, but if you use my dimensions you wont go far wrong.

So of course you put the coin in the center .turn on the light or focusing light source,
Use the white part of the card if you need a little extra light from the side. You will find its a very good way to photograph coin or similar objects
It was hard to photograph cos its painted flat black so hard to show the details.. but I think you should be able to work it out from these photos.. any further questions feel free to ask.

You may read about it in a book on lighting its called
''Black box lighting ''

the trick is in making this thing use your light/flashlight candle if you want it will come in one way and you will see the light round the coin showing all the details It was specially invented for coins(not by me ) So I need your e-mail address, then Ill take a photo of mine that I made and when you see how it works you will be excited to try it put. many moons ago when I was younger I always used TMAX both in 35 or 120, best I ever used. When I felt like experimenting I used those film and developed in ''ACUFINE''.. this allowed me to use 32 ASA but shoot it at 100ASA . Never in 40 years in the darkroom had I come across any sharper negs.
