Photos taken in Wiscasset Maine some 30 years ago. Scanned slides. These are the last of Maine's four mastered schooners, they were towed up the Sheepscot River to their final resting place. See link below for more info if interested. Thanks for looking.

Lovely. Are they really scanned from slides? If so, amazing. What gear did you use???

Thanks for your comments. I use the Epson V500 that I just recently got refurbished from the Epson site. Very easy to use and takes about 5 minutes for 4 slides. These were all done on full auto. The thing will even do photo restoration. I don't think you can beat the price, $99.00 I have done about 1500 slides so far and around another 7000-8000 to go. The scanner came with a copy of Elements 9! I have had a lot of fun so far as I can remember taking a lot of the shots.
I looked into sending slides out for scanning at .14 cents each so in my mind the thing has paid for itself already.

Hi all!

I am looking at buying the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens for Canon EOS SLR Cameras `for my T3i. This is my first DSLR telephoto lens and I'm not certain it is appropriate for my APS-C camera. One feature I prefer on this lens versus a EF-S lens is the sturdier USM focusing system.

Thanks for your opinions and experience!

I have the Canon 70-300 lens, use it all the time. Great lens, you will be very pleased with it. Mine is paired with the 60d, use it a lot at swimming events, set the camera on A1servo focus and the lens is fast and accurate with focus.

Here are some of my better photographs that I have taken with my digital cameras. Someday, maybe, if I ever get caught up, I'll need to get a scanner and digitize some of my old style film camera photographs which were taken with a 35mm (Canon, Pentax and Ricoh) and with a 2-1/4" square (Yashica).

Instead of adding 3 photos and then adding more one at a time, I'll add 3 photos, then do a reply with 3 more, and so on... I plan to post about 21 photos in this post and maybe do more in another post sometime in the near future.

I was exited to make a wedding slideshow from Lightroom directly from my collection. Disappointed however in the limitations. Need an outside audio editor for more than one song, very few transition options, text editor is lacking.

Can anyone recommend a good slideshow program? I saw from a previous post that Proshow was mentioned.

Pro show gold, very easy to use, just have to play around a little. Imports music really well. There is a trial version, try it, you'll like it.

Thanks DWHJR.....like minds going on here. Here is the trash can / railings image side by side (sans trash cans)

After looking at the two for awhile, I really think without railing is better.
