This boat has been driving me nuts. I can't find a single similar vessel anywhere on the internet. I'll bet the boat was a one-off production. The hull is steel evidenced by the rust, the platform astern looks to be a work station and not a casting platform (slippery steel plate) and one heck of a 90 HP motor for the size of the boat combined with the motor's position. That boat must shudder like heck under full throttle from the prop wash. But, if it's a work boat ,what's up with the tower?

You make the same observations and draw the same conclusions as I did. Even at slow speeds, the handling would be a bit strange to me. The directional response and control is an issue I'd sure have to get used to.

Thanks for looking in and commenting.

Since all boats, including canoes and kayaks steer from the rear when underway, I wonder how it handles? If it's a shrimper/fisher in shallow water I guess you'd never have to get it up on plane and your turns would be slow. I've never seen one like it.

I like 1 and 2. Number one looks very elegant and formal. I'd use this one if you were a wedding photographer. Number 2 is clean, easy to read and looks more playful.

"The Smokies got their name from the Cherokee people. They called it “Shaconage” (shah-con-ah-jey) which means “place of the blue smoke.” The name comes from the blue mist that floats above the peaks of the mountains. European settlers moved to the mountains in the late 1700s."

Thanks!

Thank you very much Mr. B. I appreciate your comments.

I sent the picture to a friend, a pretty avid birder who said he looked it up and it was a House Finch. No offense but I will let you and him argue it out.
Personally I won’t remember the next time anyway.

Thanks again,

Dennis

Can you recommend a video trainer that can simply explain to an old goat like me on how to set up and use Luminar neo. II found a few on utube that are over my head 3 minutes into the video.
Thank in advance for your reply.
Pete

Start with the Skylum Neo user guide:https://userguide.skylum.com/hc/en-us/articles/11541976239890-Working-with-the-Essential-Tools

I also find Anthony Turnham's videos helpful:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLy_8aZqrImwLILoZJdzF7ERuYwttFzanV

If the videos appear to too fast for you to follow, just go into the video utilities menu and slow the speed down. It can really help.

Good luck. Be patient. Learning any new processing system takes time.

A friend identifies this as a House Finch. Taken in Eastern South Dakota.

Hi Dennis,
It's actually a House Sparrow. Introduced into New York about 1850, it's [population soon exploded and it's found almost everywhere. It's considered invasive and is not protected under any state or federal laws.

Yeah, but the Pony Express advertised for small, light weight riders.
