Again you engage mouth before brain. Show me a post where I engaged in name calling. There are none, so you will have to eat your words. Sorry, there was one where you were so disrespectful to veterans that I think I did referred to you as something excreted by a maggot.

I started nothing. I find people who take pleasure in degrading others reprehensible and beneath contempt. The act of debate requires two opponents of at least moderate intelligence. You never engage in debate because you never have a defensible point of view.

Some people apparently have very short memories... the US is producing more oil now than it imports.

As for killing the coal industry... GOOD! Why would anyone want to work in a coal mine?

Modern coal mining is a very highly paid occupation. The people that do it have been doing it for generations and are proud of the job they do. Over 90% of the electricity in this country is produced by coal. The world purchases the coal produced in this country and highly values its quality. Who are you to judge the worth of another mans efforts?

you and ole heart... cry baby name callers :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD:

As usual you attempt to twist the facts. I have not called anyone names or made reference to their character. You are the one attempting to slander and demean others comments.

The Republicans have been pointing to the truth all along. Obama and his party have been on a crusade to destroy the coal industry and the thousands of jobs it provides. They have squandered billions on their so-called "green energy". They have throttled oil production at every turn. There has been no measurable effect on energy availability or cost produced by the "green energy" efforts of this government. The birth and success of the shale oil industry has been in spite of the governments efforts.

As the OP has pointed out the world has been in turmoil. While most countries are attempting to get back to normal our fearless leader has entered us into yet another useless war. He has committed our troops to do battle with a disease. Perhaps I missed the training sessions while I was in the Corp, but I fail to see what qualifies our military to fight an infectious disease. Now we are committing Nation Guard to this "battle". There is no party in DC that is right in this situation. There is no party that is working for our benefit. If one is worse than the other it is the hypocritical Democrats.

Before you go off on another tangent, understand that I do not support either group.

Yes he did. The article does ignore the facts that demand decreased here in the States, which served to drop prices, and that the refineries that were slowed down for overhaul are back online. Also, since the single largest item of gas price is taxes, as price drops so do taxes.

I don't get the drum beating by the progressives here........the article is pretty simplistic, so where is the controversy?

Sorry, Donna, but Fox has been covering the decrease in prices almost daily. In fact, the stats on production, demand, lack of use of federal land for U.S. Production increases, etc., are regularly addressed. I really don't understand your FDS.

The OP does put the truth out there about falling prices. However, the boom in shale oil happened despite the Administrations efforts, not because of them. In fact the Presidents efforts to destroy the coal industry have cause a steady and unrelenting rise in the cost of energy production through out the world. We are enjoying savings when we gas up the car but the savings are being eaten up by the increasing electric bills coming in the mail box. What we are seeing in this discussion and the press is typical political smoke and mirror magic.

The Attic was created for you folks that want to wallow in your name calling and delusions that one side is better than the other. Why don't you go there and enjoy your hatred?

Bush Cheney lied us into Iraq.
Sadam Hussien had no ties to 9/11.
If anything more evidence pointed towards Afghanistan
than Iraq.
But and this is where I will upset few people.
I lean towards the fact that 9/11 was an inside job.
I firmly believe that all of what we are doing as a country
is one big power grab and the way we are doing it should cease.

We are stirring up chaos in the Ukraine
Russian and China kept us from going into Syria.
In 2013 when there was such a push for us to bomb Syria.
Russia and China made it clear that we would have to deal
with them both.
So something to think about
crisis in the Ukraine, Russia's hands are tied with that.
China has their issues they are dealing with.
The emergence of a well funded ISIS who just happens to to
be in Syria.... Hummmmm,
They invade Iraq, Iraq cries for help.
We now have a reason to have a presence in Syria.
Also we are being bombarded with Ebola.
The lackadaisical handling of that.
Start to question what is the end sum game of it all.
Especially all of you who were young men and women
in the 60's. Remember one important code that you had.
" Ouestion Authority".
The mess started with Bush and it's all continuing under Obama.
I don't care if Romney would have been elected.
The war pot would still be getting stirred.
I think as far as president people wanted a change... (show quote)

You make some good points. However, where you see conspiracy I see rampant incompetence. What exactly are the Marines supposed to do about Ebola? In my four years I never received any training on how to fight a disease. Why would you commit billions to bomb an enemy and then state that we are not trying to prevent them from taking territory? Why are we bombing them? Why are we spending an estimated 40 billion to bomb ISIS? If there is an end game it is so obscure that it is invisible. Insanity pure and simple.

If Ted45 would have gotten his Purple Heart in such a BS matter.
I'm sure he wouldn't have stated it so proudly.

Again yes Bush Cheney got us in this mess but President Obama is
continuing even expanding this lunacy.
Do you realize how close we are to WWIII.

Do you understand his lack of leadership with this Ebola crisis.
Lastly if he truly gave a rats arsse about bruthas he would
have shut the borders down in a heartbeat.
Also white folks in the south and the Midwest y'all better recognize.
Foreigners are coming in here displacing y'all too.
I'm not just talking Mexicans......
I'm talking immigrants from all over the globe.
We got people born here being displaced, and I say (my favorite word)
bollocks.
The white black repub dem divide needs to end. All those that hold American values near and dear need to stand together.

I agree with you on everything you've said except for one point; We, the American people, got us into this. After 911 Bush would have been stoned to death if we did not attack somebody. We wanted revenge as a Nation. Both Parties jumped on the band wagon and off we went. From that point on it has been an out of control train wreck.

The people wanted a black President. I have no problem with that. The office is too important to be owned by a color. However if you look at the man I believe we elected the wrong man, no matter what color he is. Now they are beating the drums for a woman. Unfortunately I'm not certain Hillary qualifies as a woman. She certainly doesn't make the grade for a good President. We caused this mess and we need to correct it.

No body said Bush was a good soldier. No body said he was a good President. Many have said it is past time to let it go. The current fool has been in office just short of 6 years and gets worse every day. His crimes make Bush look like an amateur. Get your head out of the sand.

Generally it is just the top-of-the-line P&S cameras that have 'viewfinders' and even in the 'bridge' category there are many without the viewfinders! I have the Canon SX40 & SX50 and don't often use the viewfinder, HOWEVER I would NOT want a camera without...... Except a quick-click 'belt pouch' or 'pocket' camera for true grab shots.

I use the SX50 viewfinder more than the LCD. The LCD is impossible in bright daylight. My SX50 is my quick-click carry around camera.

I do agree with you that it is best to have a viewfinder available.

I am a Viet Nam vet and I totally disagree with you. I have my Purple Heart from carrying the Globe and Anchor into combat.

GWs father helped him out, so good for him. You did not address the lack of character Obama shows by disregarding his family and not giving them help.

To keep harping on Bush's drinking and disregarding Obamas admitted drug abuse is insane. Both activities are unbecoming a President but alcohol is legal. Marijuana and cocaine were not when Obama was in college. Before you break your smilies finger; read Obamas biography to learn about his drug abuse.

I try my best to be a realist.

I admit, I haven't read many of your posts. I try to stay out of this section since I do not agree with the name calling and defamation of character that so many seem to enjoy.

So what? If you could "pull strings" to help your son wouldn't you? GW had a father who tried to help him. Obama has a father who needs his help and he wont give him any.

Why is there no prolonged discussion about the current President and the continuing illegal actions he is taking? We are in yet another war and no one complains because Obama says it isn't a war. We are living in a chapter of Alice in Wonderland.

Maybe I'm just reading this wrong but don't all cameras have an "eyelevel" viewfinder? Every time I look through any of my viewfinders they are all right in front of my eye.
