Profbowman, all of the photos are of the same orientation, no varying rotation.....

The "diamond Ring" photo doesn't show the bottom prominence yet, due to the path of the moon from lower right to upper left... But the prominences at the 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock are there in the same positions, but the 6 o'clock one hasn't shown up yet.
All photos taken with camera in landscape orientation, and no photos were rotated. They're all exactly how I saw them with my eyes!

If osprey are anything like bald eagles, then the other chicks tossed the littlest chick.... And the bald eagle parents do not pay attention to the tossed chick.... From what I've read, three eaglets surviving to fletchings is, not really, really rare, but sorta rare...

Agreed, it's a little disheartening to us mere humans, but nature wants only the fittest and strongest to survive, and if that means losing that third chick, then it is what it is...
Heck, what I've read about eagles is that even the parents favor the the two larger chicks when it comes to feeding time...but it isn't the parents that chuck the little one, it's the siblings....

Nature... It's all about TUFF LOVE

Photo with cellphone showing river levee, the nest, where I shoot photos from, and wife and another couple that went with me this morning. (Probably the reason I forgot batteries and camera settings, cuz I usually go it alone)

Look closely in that last photo, you see nest and the parents just left of center, in distance, perched in dead tree.

Had a hard time getting a glimpse of the 3rd eaglet, but we finally did... I just didn't get a photo with three heads up... Maybe next week. But I captured photo with the back of the 3rd eaglet.
They're looking better with lots more big feathers.
Attached photo with some grackles in the tree above the nest, for relative sizing.
Momma had either taken a morning bath or caught breakfast and was drying off.
Pops was capture in a dead tree, looking pretty study, before flying over to sit by Momma.
The early mid-morning sunlight and everything being to the west of my location, just make these photos.... Just always gotta remember to dial in -0.3 EV

And I kinda just screwed up this morning, because usually I anticipate a flying shot when I first get there, so I set camera to shutter priority and 1/1250s, and -0.3 EV, then when the adults are perched and for nest shots I usually switch to P-mode and -0.3 EV.... But this morning I forgot to switch to P-mode and I guess while shooting/reviewing photos, and while spinning the dial, I jacked some of the photos up between 1/2500s and 1/3200s.. Causing auto-ISO to go up and noise to show up in the background...

And to boot I forgot extra batteries, which I usually ALWAYS have with me, but the temps were better than I anticipated and I took my jacket off and left it at the car...about 20 photos in, the battery icon pops up and I was soooo mad at myself for brain farting, but luckily I was able to take all the photos I wanted and the icon never even started flashing....WHEW...CUZ THAT WOULDA REALLY PISSED ME OFF...it's a long hike into the nest.

Just a total lack of attention/focus today. I gotta be more on top of it...
Jeez!

Very nice... Great job, the clouds really came thru and made this photo... Allowing city light reflection and allowing some stars... Shoreline is great too!

GREAT wide angle shots.... Seriously, there's NEVER enough time to capture everything there is to capture...

Luckily my first total eclipse in 2017, I wasn't "into" photography like I am now that I'm retired.... And I simply "took it all in" without a camera....

This one, I tried hard to spend a total of about 20-30 seconds of the whole 1 minute 57 secs of totality pushing a camera shutter button.... Because it's something that is so rare, you need to be "soaking in" , as much as possible, the "EXPERIENCE" ....

I'm enjoying your efforts tho, of those wide angle shots.... GREAT JOB!

And great post!

Thanks everyone.... I was thinking today, wonder if it's possible to expose for earthshine on the "dark side of the moon".... 😂... It would have to be during full totality, and it would probably blow out the coronasphere... BUT... WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE?!?!?!?

Too bad these don't happen 3 or 4 times a year in the USA, huh?!.... CUZ THEY'RE AWESOME!!!
