Appreciate all the feedback on my LR problem….
Jus one more…I understand that all my pix which are loaded into LR, will not be lost if I stop the monthly charge with Adobe…. If I switch to Adobe Elements 2021, will I still be able to print any of the pix from LR and will I have the same quality if I print from Elements…As I had mentioned all ever done with LR is load and lighten or darken and crop if necessary….
Probably should have never started with LR year’s ago, but……
Thank you

Windows or Mac?

Either way, your photos are not IN Lightroom. The LR catalog has a list of where they are located on your computer. Stopping use of LR will not move the photos.

File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) should be able to find your photos. If you look at a photo on LR, it should tell you the file name. And in the Metadata panel it should tell you the folder where the photo is located.

How many photos have you collected in your 15 years?

Well over 1500-2000… I’ll work on this

After over at least 15 years with LR, And I only download pix. I never really learned the use, but I pay monthly. Adobe has been advertising Elements 2021…one time price…can I stop Lightroom keep everything I ever loaded and stop paying the monthly fee, then start using Elements and loose nothing, or does Adobe take all LR use and pix away…..
Thank you

This is somewhat of a common problem. All the suggestions above are worth checking out. On the internet and from some photo lab companies are what are called "TEST PRINTS". These usually have a variety of people with different skin tones, gray cards, and color checkers -- basically a "standard" scan/print. First, I would download a Test Print jpeg file. Take a look at it on your monitor. Do the people and color checkers look OK/natural? If the monitor looks OK then make a print using the software for the printer. Is the print close? What's wrong? What color is in excess -- what color is missing? If you have a printer with 4 or more ink tanks is an ink tank color missing? In other words, are all the ink tanks putting ink on the paper and how does the test print look? From here -- start printing your scan and see how it looks. Now you've tested the monitor, the ink carts, the printer and the printer software. Your are still at the start -- but it is a start and you're headed in the right direction.

There are also printer calibrators, that analyze a scan of a print of a color test page and match the output of the printer with what is seen on a calibrated monitor.

The brute force way to do this is to adjust the image on the monitor with your graphics program and make test prints until the print looks as you would like it to be. Then you take each image you want to print, make a copy and adjust the image for a similar look so that the printer output is close to what you see on the monitor viewing the original file.
