I have a 90D and have used it a lot, for excursions around the ranch. Have a Tamron 18-400 on it which is quite a versatile lens for photos of opportunity. I have a number of options on cameras and put it currently at the top of the grab it and go camera. I also have a sonyrx10mk4 that I use a lot. When I dot feel real complex and need a quick picture of a bull a client want a better look at and grab the Sony. A little less complicated ,not much. I like them both. I’m trying to transition to an r6 and r5 , but keep going back to th 90d camera.

Most of my equipment was “used”. The latest was an EOS R5 from Map Camera in Japan for $2700. Looked and acted like new. So It doesn’t have a USA Warranty. Canon will still fix it if I have a problem. I just have to pay for it. I doubt if I have a problem.

In the past, I've had to wait because of an emergency, but my doctor found a way around that. Emergencies are told to go to the ER. If you don't have an appointment, don't show up. When I say "my doctor," I mean the huge conglomerate that now owns and runs the practice.

I could not in good faith send all my “Emergencies” to the ER. Most of the time I could handle the issue for. 20 cents on the $$. ERs are expensive. A sore throat can cost thousands of $$.

I’ve read all of these. Seems like most of you are P.O. At you physician. I’ve waited my turn for > 75 years, but, what your turn involves now is a lot less than it used to involve. When I started practicing medicine, the charge was $5/ visit. Did not take appointments. First come first serve. We worked every day until we ran out of patients. Never ran out of patients. Made more spendable money then than 50 years later. Profit margin steadily dropped during my entire career. Less than 10 % when I retired.

Ha. Not an hour ago, my wife was going nuts over the same thing, having to do a pre check in that her doctor requires every three months now.

They are using the pre check to generate a 4 page computerized medical record. This is used to document a medical record that helps justify a level 4 (out of five) “encounter” charge for your < 15 minute office visit. Those computerized records they present are a sham. I know. All my consultants sent me copies when they saw my patients. I refused to do computerized records.

It's a shame how things have changed. When I go for my physical next week, the doctor will be staring at his computer asking me questions. Then he'll check my breathing and heart, feel my neck, and send me on my way for another six months. I know I'll get another pre-sign-in next week. I'm going to ignore it.

The last 2 times I’ve seen my Cardiologist, he hasn’t even listened to my heart with his stethoscope. 2 different Cardiologist.

You make a good point. While we may be visiting the doctor for what we consider a routine checkup or minor issue, things happen that are beyond anyone’s control.

Everyday. Frequently, it was emergencies. Very little in the scope of a true FamilyPhysician is planned under his control. Emergencies and same day illness calls happen everyday. Our office policy was to never turn away “sick” calls if they called in before quitting time on the clock. We usually worked until 7:00 pm or so. Often times later , sometimes earlier.

As a retired family physician, I empathize regarding the wait. However, as a patient, I have almost always had and have to wait to be seen by anyone I saw. The reason is you most likely have a fine physician who gives you the thirty to forty minute extra time you need if your problem is more severe than expected. For example, on performing a physical exam on my Veterinarian, my final act was his rectal exam. He exercised daily and appeared to be in stellar health. To my SURPRISE I found a rectal cancer the size of a hen’s egg. I want you lmpatient Patients opinion. Would you have me tell him he had a rectal cancer, but, to come back in in 2weeks to discuss it, or have me spend an extra 30minutes explaining the problem and personally talking to the specialist To whom he was being referred. Things like this happened every day. My patients generally told me they didn’t mind waiting, because they knew I would give each of them the time they needed. We did not computerize our records. Computerized records slow things down that much more. I retired this past summer after 54 years of practice.

I’ve had good luck on eBay and UHH. ON eBay, be patient. Often have to wait a while for a real deal to come up. Buy from people that take returns, and have high buyer reviews. Wait until the last 20-30seconds to bid. Bid your top price you will pay for item. You may get it for much less. Bidding early only runs up the final price. Buy items that are new, mint, open box, well rated. Don’t be afraid to buy from Japan. They have a superior USED rating system, it will be here in 3-5 days. I’ve never had to pay import tax on Japanese purchases. I can recommend Map Camera in Tokyo
