Yesterday’s Red Shouldered Hawk

I was happy to see this hawk while walking around Vines Park in Georgia.

Micro Four Thirds/ Panasonic 100-300 II on a Panasonic G95.
600mm, f5.6, 1/320s, ISO200.

Very nice image, but seems a bit over saturated, mostly in the red!!

Thanks, Frank. I usually show my wife, a non photographer, my photos first. This bird was in the shade. She likes bright colors and I also showed her the attached photo. She liked the original and so do I. I told her someone would comment that it was over saturated.

Anyway, here is version #2, with less saturation.

Nice shot Dean. If you and the people you care about like it, thats all that matters. I approach photography as initially as a selfish act, shooting where and what I want, processing how I want it. If someone else enjoys it, thats a bonus. Concern over others opinions will stifle creativity and exploration. That said, the most important rule in photography and can be applied to most everything when in a relationship is, the better half is always right.
