The fact is that the v*****e does not prevent getting C***D. I does limit the probability of getting C***D, and it significantly limits the probability of getting critically ill from C***D.
I wish the CDC weren't such a bunch of politicized ding-bats. They keep changing their position on masks, social distancing, effectiveness of the v*****e. They are all over the place, and they are not making it clear why people should wear masks (so you don't spread the disease), which masks (surgical masks worn properly are much more effective than cloth masks or bandanas), social distancing (6 feet and stay out of enclosed spaces), v******tion response (keep wearing masks and social distancing because you can still get infected).
Nothing should really change until so many people are v******ted that it is highly unlikely that anyone will get C***D. That means continued mask wearing and social distancing until the disease is gone.
I thought things were getting better in March/April, and started booking events and concerts. And then Delta came, and I've cancelled everything. I don't think things are going to get better for several years now. I'm gonna get out of the business and focus on something else.
People are stupid; witness the i***tic postings here on v*****es and masks. Well, there are other reasons to consider people on this blog stupid. But still, with health agencies waffling on C***D response, Delta-C***D infecting more young people, stupid parents clamoring for their children to go back to school without masks.
In the meantime, we have wildfires, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, freezes. End of Days? Well, the acronym for the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) sounds to me to be very ominous.
