Andrew
Thanks again. I use 16gb cards so I will give it a spell saving the two formats.
Thanks again,
Graham
Andrew, thanks for the help referring to the CR2's. Should I keep the setting on saving both formats. I must have changed it from saving JPG's only, by mistake.
Or change the setting to CR2's when shooting something special. As you can see, this is all new stuff I haven't used before and am very grateful for your help.
Cheers,
Graham
Krunal, I am very grateful to you for taking the time to help
me. I must have somehow altered the settings and caused
my camera to record both JPG's and CR2's.
Very much obliged,
Graham
Please, can anyone answer my question? I have just taken a series of photos, I put the flash card in the card reader and put it in my lap-top. Iv'e opened it to see the list of images and every one of them is duplicated, for example: The list reads:
IMG_2271.CR2 DATE & TIME 24.7 MB
IMG_2271.JPG DATE & TIME 6.2 MB
IMG_2272.CR2 DATE & TIME 23.6MB
IMG_2272.JPG DATE & TIME 5.5 MB
IMG_2273.CR2 DATE & TIME 26.3MB
IMG_2273.JPG DATE & TIME 6.5MB
The CR2 files (whatever they are) are more than three times greater than the JPG files. There are about sixty of them all duplicated as above. ????????????????????? thanks Graham
Am I barking up the wrong tree? but I think this is a great
subject to be in sepia. The statue itself is bronze so I thought
it's a natural for sepia??? Any comments more than welcomed.
Very nice but as Duane D mentioned it is a tadge blue, may I ask what camera and lens please. If I shouldn't ask these questions please let me know I'm a newbie.
Thanks Danilo, I moved the camera along with the flight of the bird. Just fortunate it appears to be well placed in the position in the picture. I have some fascination for birds.

My last posting was saying hello and bird pictures taken through a double glazed kitchen window. These were taken at Scarborough Mere, a lovely lake in a lovely town and county.

Any comments however critical will be greatly accepted and appreciated. I want to get the best out of my new kit.
The other two lenses are a Canon EF 50mm 1:1.2 L USM and a
Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM
I'm a Newbie as I notice that what newcomers are called on here. I have been enjoying taking photographs for many a year. I have just bought some new kit, a Canon EOS 7D and three excellent Canon lenses. I am retired and the new stuff Iv'e just bought is great. Any comments however critical would be greatly accepted and appreciated.

Gordon Benett, I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of you. In saying that, what you say is perfectly true, especially stopping the theft of images with stolen software, excellent point.
