My last posting was saying hello and bird pictures taken through a double glazed kitchen window. These were taken at Scarborough Mere, a lovely lake in a lovely town and county.

This one is through the window.
Nicely done, Graham! It's fortunate the background blurred slightly on your first one; it helps make the bird stand out in the photo!
Good job! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Danilo, I moved the camera along with the flight of the bird. Just fortunate it appears to be well placed in the position in the picture. I have some fascination for birds.

Great shots Graham. I love how you capture the birds and squirrel without the problem of windows. I unfortunately have a bunch of pix that I take everyday through a double pane window and screen behind it. They come out ok, but I would prefer no interference so that they could come out as sharp as yours.
Keep sharing
Cheers Silver Fox, I'm new as you know so it's good to get encouragement from established members.

Thanks for your kind words. I think the double glazed window business is to get the lens actually touching the window pane.
We have a Yorkshire stone farmhouse and the walls are almost 2 foot thick so it's awkward stretching over the thickness of the wall trying to balance. It'a relief when you finally weed the decent one's out and find a few good shots.
Cheers Angler. Are you a sea angler?

No Graham coarse fishing, mostly carp but not so much these days..
Nice series. The squirrel is remarkably sharp for a thru-the-window shot. Well done.
Treepusher,
Cheers mate. The squirrel lives in a huge tree in our garden. The window is very close to the bird table that he uses 4-5 times a day. At first if he saw anyone at the window he'd be off sharpish but now, he feeds while watching us. I think eventually I may get shots without the window between us.

I saw the boats and harbour/marina on your photo and thought maybe you had a boat. Cheers for now,
Graham
