Coincidences amaze me, and here's another.

I'm going to buy a new router (Triton TRA001) for woodworking and make a table for it. Before I do anything, I spend a few days online looking for advice. On YouTube, there are lots of router experts, many from England. In making his table, an Englishman spoke of cutting "rebates" into the top of the table. I thought I had either misheard, or the closed captioning got it wrong. Last night, I was watching an American build a table, and he spoke about cutting a rabbet - "Or 'rebate,' as the English would say."

I'm 76 years old, and I had never heard the English say "rebate" instead of "rabbet." Then I hear it twice in one day. Something like that is worth a post on UU.

My wife was recently diagnosed as being asthmatic and I have to say that we were shocked at the cost of the inhalers that were prescribed for her! One is a steroid treatment meant to help prevent episodes and the other is the well known Albuterol bronchial dilator or "Rescue Inhaler" that is commonly used by many. Anyway the cost of these two drugs through the mail order pharmacy associated with our insurance came to just shy of $900.00 for a 90 day supply. While we realized that these drugs would be upper tier drugs that would increase our costs, it turns out that the insurance doesn't cover even a portion of them and that we have to bear the entire cost. Unfortunately, this is out of our reach financially, even short term, and we are looking into other options if there are any out there. Otherwise, I guess it's just deal with it as best we can and that really burns me when we thought we had really good health insurance!

Anyway, I thought I would ask here if this is about what others have encountered while dealing with this condition and how they feel and/or deal with this sort of expense verses treatment issues. While I know that it's entirely about the cost, how is it possible that the insurance companies get away with not covering even a portion of these medications when prescribed and how come they cost so much in the first place? I'm also sure that asthma medications are not the only costly ones that the insurance companies actively seek ways to avoid paying for, such as diabetes meds (ie. insulin) etc. Any feedback and/or suggestions for possible other options would be greatly appreciated, but let's please try not to make this a political discussion and get it moved to the "Attic." I wanted to alert my fellow UH's to a problem that I and other in my neighborhood at least, have been and are still experiencing with FedX deliveries. In particular, the fact that Fed X does not come up the drive to deliver a package--even though I requested to have package left at my garage door. Nor do they honor the requirement for a direct signature. I ordered a Hasselblad lens and it was delivered to the TOP OF MY MAILBOX--which is located right at the street. No signature was requested by the FedX driver, even though BH clearly stated that a direct signature was required (see attached). A would-be thief could have just driven by, picked up the package and have gotten clean away. This situation is not just with high value packages, from my experience all packages from FedX have been delivered in this manner. They even left one out in the rain. I filed a "formal complaint" (the supposed magic words to get some action from FedX) and still nothing happened--no response of any kind. I also complained to BH explaining that it would have been their problem had the package been stolen. They told me that they too would file a complaint. The take way is this, keep an eye out for your FedX packages. You never know if they have not been delivered or stolen and apparently a direct signature requirement is just a suggestion to FedEx so you can't rely on that either. Even though it will cost me money, I'm going to use UPS from now on.

We have frontier FiOS and just had a new router installed. The new one and the old one will not reach the other end of the house to run my wife's iPad. the distance is about 70' and there is two drywall walls between the router and the place where my wife uses the ipad at night.

the new routers do not have the range the first one we got about 15 years ago had. The house i two stories. We have two Samsung smart tvs, two iPad and 2 iPhone connected.

Any suggestions as to what router will fix the issue.
