Can't say enough about the eyes, great, wonderful, beautiful etc.
Great job, thanks for sharing with us. Merry Christmas!
I shoot with a D90 and in my manual on pg. 26, it states the same message about turning VR off before turning off the camera. Must be kind of a generic thing.
Nice job! I am a Nikon person but, damn I love those white lenses. If only...................$$$$$$$$$
[quote=I agree, most are. Please re-read my comment. I didn't tell her to ignore everyones comments. I was only referring to those that got ignorant and had nothing to do with addressing her question or problem. Some of these apparently got her quite upset and, her being a newbie, I can understand where she is coming from. I would hate to see those comments scare her away.

Jim,
I'm afraid that the ignorant comments of a select few may have done just that. (scared her away)
This is a great forum for info but, at times some people take their intelligence or the lack there of, way to far when answering or commenting on a posted question. I see no need to be rude and just tell some one to go read the manual and I'm sure most will agree with me. I just hope the OP can see beyond the rude behavior of a few and come back. <rant over>

Great photo. I had the exact same Canon set up in the 80's. Good combo, got a lot of nice shots. thanks for the memories.
I remember doing a trick with plastic wrap (seran wrap) where we just placed it over the lens on the enlarger during development and it made quite a nice blur. The most effective was still, was the vaseline on the lens, but messy.
Good Luck!
Jerry, have you ever tried Picasa.com? It's free and does a nice job. I use it all the time. Good Luck!

I have purchased 2 Nikons, a speedlite and a couple of lenses (all refurbished) from Cameta and haven't had any problems. The prices are quite a bit lower. It's definately worth it to buy refurbished equipment.

I just bought one and in fact, received it tuesday. Got it on e-bay for $32. Works like a charm. It'll do fine for what little macro that I do. Go to e-bay and search for macro ring light. There's a bunch of them.
Dave
Have you tried it yet? Interested to know how well it works. That's a darned decent price.
Yes, works like a charm. Takes a little use to get the + and - stops for flash, but all in all how can you beat it for the price. Like I said, if I made my living with macro stuff I'd buy a real expensive one. This will do nicely for now.

Looks interesting, but still more than I paid for my Dine ring/point light. Mine cost me $25 on eBay with $10 shipping... What is the guide # on your unit? The link doesn't say....
Scott, mine is a Meike, guide # is 15. Cost $32. shipping $1.80. Turn around time 1 week. Not to bad, right??

Love that part of NH, we spend most of the summer at Hampton Beach. I've been going since I was a teen, and you don't want to know how long ago that was. LOL
Your shots are just great. Love the waterfalls. Keep on shooting.

Jerry, sorry to hear about your wife. Will send a prayer her way.

Or just use a wifi/memory card and send directly to the printer. You can get these now for less than $80.
